Meet Felix Jorge | Photographer and Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Felix Jorge and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Felix, what are you inspired by?
I take inspiration from everything around me especially my friends, music, anime, pop culture random thoughts and phrases . I spend a lot of time in my head daydreaming which usually leads to most of my concepts. My most recent photoshoot was inspired by the “he got the dog in him” meme. No matter how big or small the idea is, I am always trying to find new challenges and obstacles that I can surpase so I can create new pieces of works that is unique and aesthetically pleasing while elevating my creativity to the next level.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My creative passion lies in the editorial fashion realm, where I use elements such as clothing, vibrant colors, external light sources, and wide-angle lenses to achieve a distinctive aesthetic. I am driven by a desire to push the boundaries of my capabilities. My goal is to elevate my creations to new heights, introducing more elaborate concepts that seamlessly blend the worlds of fashion and surrealism. I aspire to construct a unique universe within my work, one that captivates viewers with its distinctiveness. As I continue in my artistic journey, I find myself increasingly adopting the role of a director rather than just a photographer. I actively engage in multiple facets of my projects, from styling and location scouting to set design, photography, casting, and makeup. This hands-on approach allows me to shape every aspect of my artistic vision and contribute to a holistic and immersive experience

Similar to many other artists, I am committed to expanding my horizons and working on a larger scale to manifest the visionary works I envision. This ongoing commitment to growth and exploration propels me towards realizing my artistic aspirations on a grander stage.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If there is one thing I enjoy doing, is to plan fun filled days with the people I love! I feel like there is not enough time to do everything in the world but even so I try to live life with no limits. Exploring places that we haven’t experienced is such a treat. I would take them on a whole adventure showing them all the hidden gems that I have typed out in my notes app. One of my favorite things to do with friends is to take them to a hidden crescent shaped beach cove where the view is jaw dropping, especially during sunset. End the night with a bonfire and lay in the sand to stargaze.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a special shoutout to my special friend liana. She’s more than a friend, she is family to me. She has been so supportive in my creative journey from the very beginning whether it was sharing my work, helping out on set, standing in front of the camera, and so much more. Words can’t describe how grateful for her and everything she has done for me. One of the most genuine, down to earth, funniest person I know in my life.
