We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatiana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Hills to Hearts was founded from my personal experience caring for my great-grandmother who suffered from dementia. The lack of support and resources available to family caregivers fueled my fire. When structuring Hills to Hearts my focus was to prevent family caregivers from feeling the hurt and vulnerability I felt. Trying to care for my great- grandmother, work and run a household took a toll on me and I needed help, so I created that help for others wanting to care for their elders at home. With my personal experience and professional background in healthcare, my vision is to provide families with a sense of peace in leaving their loved one in my hands, the peace I once longed for.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Hills to Hearts we provide daily senior care to support the everyday caregiver and families. Whether it’s day sitting so the caregiver can head to work or run errands, or providing education on health care basics to empower the caregiver – we’re here for them. Hills to Hearts is a passion for me not just a business. I am a caregiver to my core, it’s what I do! The beauty of Hills to Hearts is that it will continue to evolve to meet the needs of the elder community as the world evolves. Our goal is to make elders and the loved ones caring for them feel right for the right now, whatever that may be at the moment. As I continue to move forward, I have learned walking in purpose with pure intentions makes even the difficult obstacles easy to conquer. I try hard to approach every challenge with a solution, right away I I go into problem solving mode rather than complaining.

 

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Husband Santana has been my greatest motivation. He is always supportive and encourages me to believe in myself. Janice & Daniella, affectionately referred to as my soul sisters, have been supportive of my vision and my passion from the beginning stages of Hills to Hearts. As entrepreneurs of Witness in Color & The Yellow Experience, they generously provided their business services at no cost to support my vision. Most importantly, they prayed with me, for me, and seek God’s guidance on my behalf. With these three people as my support system, Hills to Heart’s success is moving at God’s speed.
