We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronika Ward and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ronika, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process when starting my business thinking about my daughters future. I have three amazing daughters and I don’t want them to go what I went through. I wanted to show them a better way of life. Luke yea you can have your own business. They have seen my journey first hand when it was just an idea. I also new I didn’t want to work for anyone since I was a Child myself. I was wanted my own to be self sufficient. Leaving a legacy behind is where my inspiration came from when my journey as an entrepreneur.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I am most proud of is creating a safe space for women of color to heal and grow on there journey. Also to provide a comfortable environment for all waxing and holistic needs. Pretty girls wax parlor is wellness spa. Where we offer yoni steams that heals & cleanse your. Womb. We offer classes, panel discussions on wellness. We are a one stop shop. The services we offer Brazilian waxing, facials. Foot detox Massages & . Yoni steams. We want to make you feel pretty from the inside out. It starts with you !!!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my bff was in town we would definitely go to the beltline for a nice walk to see the city. We would also head over to spa land for a massage & Sauna. We also would go to Houston’s restaurant I love it there. We also would hit up Chattahoochee food works. We can get drinks there and it’s so many options of food to choose from. We definitely would hit up Atlantic station for lunch or go shopping. I prefer we stay at the St. Regis in Buckhead for a goodnight stay. We would visit Cumberland mall to shop. We also would hit up Rock Steady for Bumba Tuesday or vibes to go dancing. I love Afro beats, reggae & Amapiano. We would go to Jen’s for icecream. We definitely have to take a walk around Piedmont park. We would get drinks at the Thompson Hotel Rooftoop.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout all my amazing friends who helped me on this journey who believed in me. My mother who been my rock. I also would like to thank these amazing networking I am to help me strive to be better in every area in my life. The founder’s community for bridging these amazing group of women together to understand our greatness. I would also like to thank This Mastermind group in with along with VIPSOCIO to help bridge relationships with other amazing business owners. That help with marketing and global exposure.
