We had the good fortune of connecting with Treasur Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Treasur, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me happy is family. Even though I grew up in a broken household individually both sides of the family were still strong in gathering amongst one another given me two different sides of the spectrum when it comes to beliefs, tradition, and personality.

Another thing that makes me happy is being creative, I find most joy being in the studio , behind the camera , performing poetry , and directing videos it just creates such a safe space for me emotionally and shows my true self.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an artist I think what sets me apart from others is I don’t just do one thing. Being multi-dimensional in my crafts allow me to know the ins and outs of not just music but the branches associated with being a musician like the playing of an instrument, fashion, and film. Being able to tie all those things together without letting the consumer forget it’s my words and music that got me here.

I am most proud and excited about my growth, everyday I learn from myself and go into my next day with a different idea and drive then I had the night before so even in my present days I’m always shaping my tomorrows.

I got to where I’m at now by not giving up. Not allowing someone to tell me what they think I should be doing and doing all things through Christ that strengthen me.

It is not easy., and to overcome these challenges you have to have a certain amount of resilience and tenacity but that comes with picking yourself up after falling and failing , it’s the only way.

Lessons I learned from it though is everybody doesn’t have your best interest but they’ll always have theirs so to be able to have discernment on what’s for you or what’s for who you may be working with or for is important to know the difference.

I want the world to know that Treasur’ is just that with a heart of gold that strives to so my soul in every part of my art,

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area I would want us to go to a concert or just do a lot of random creative things to get our blood flowing! I would take them maybe to a theater play or a conference that would shape our minds to be more powerful in our individual journeys.

We would eat and drink whatever we want! Without having a specific place knowing me it would go from skydiving to a five star restaurant I would just be happy enough with my best friend.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Someone I believe deserves a shoutout in my story the most is my parents. Since day one, they have tried to navigate me to be the best version of myself and although I was rebellious there are moments daily where their teachings replay in my mind allowing me to make the best decisions in my adulthood. They weren’t perfect so I’m not either but they are my best friends and I wouldn’t have been able to hone into my talents without their encouragement and direction.
