We had the good fortune of connecting with Richard Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Richard, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Being a multi-faceted design firm comprised of Architects, Industrial designers and specialized Fabricators, we are able to bridge canyon-sized gaps between the traditional practice of architecture and our clients expectations of their design. One such way we do that is by helping our clients not just visualize their designs with renderings and virtual reality, but by actually building full scale mockups for stakeholders or future customers to walk through and have compelling experiences within the space. We are then able to tease out information from the participants to send back to the drawing boards to better inform the final design. This innovative process is enormously invaluable and has stitched its way in as an integral part of the decision making process for our national and international clients.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We started in 2011 as an architectural design firm, working primarily on residential and commercial projects in Atlanta. Soon after, we picked up some work with some larger national brands which challenged us to evolve into more than just Architects. Today, we have become a seasoned agency who helps businesses formalize conceptual ideas through innovative methods of design, as well as videography, digital graphics, AR/VR, graphic design, and prototyping! We help our clients solve problems, validate or fail ideas faster and more economically, and we do this by leading and supporting them through a design process.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Thats an easy one! Restaurant/bar hopping on the Beltline is easily my favorite thing to do with folks visiting from out of town! Id start at Piedmont Park and wouldnt stop until we hit Lee and White!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Taylor Workshop is nothing without its amazing clients, partners, and most importantly our incredible hardworking team. They are truly super-hero status individuals which I’d love to call out by name, but instead, I’ll just invite you to come by the office and meet them yourself!
