We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Renfroe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The decision to start Atlanta Pickleball Tournament stemmed from our deep passion for the sport. As pickleball enthusiasts, we stumbled upon the game by accident but quickly fell in love. Seeing the potential to unite the pickle-loving community, we decided to organize tournaments that would bring players together for competitive yet enjoyable events.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets us apart is our generous sponsors, who enable us to offer great prizes at all our events. Dink Destinations, Selkirk, Volaire, Atlanta Bouncers, just to name a few. Their support also attracts top players, creating a fun and highly competitive environment you won’t find elsewhere.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
During my best friend’s week-long visit to Atlanta, we’d go from enjoying Southern comfort food at The Flying Biscuit Café to hanging out with the Sea Lions at the Georgia Aquarium. We’d pay homage to history at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, savor soulful meals at Busy Bee Café and Mary Mac’s Tea Room. Our evenings would be filled with great food, from innovative seafood dishes at The Optimist to farm-fresh fare at Buttermilk Kitchen!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our journey with Atlanta Pickleball Tournament wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support from our families and friends. Their belief in our vision and their constant encouragement have fueled our passion and kept us going!

We also owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the entire pickleball community for embracing our tournaments with such enthusiasm. Their participation, feedback, and camaraderie have been instrumental in shaping the success of our events.

Last but not least, we want to dedicate this shoutout to our sponsors, Selkirk, Volaire and the Atlanta Bouncers. Their contributions behind the scenes ensures that every event leaves participants with unforgettable memories.
