Meet Kayla Bolden | Lash Technician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Bolden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayla, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business has always been a dream of mine. Having something that I can call my own and say with pride that I started a business. My love and interest in lashes prompted my idea of learning to do lash extensions. Before becoming a lash tech, I wanted to sell lash strips. Strips were my go-to and staple piece to my look before learning about lash extensions. As a woman, I know that any small beauty enchantment gives us a boost of confidence. My passion for helping individuals feels confident and empowered fueled my ideas thus, the creation of Bold Beautie Esthetics.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I very proud of myself for recently graduating from esthetics school, i’m super excited to be able to provide more services to my clients. The journey through esthetics school was not easy but it was something I knew would set me apart from most. I work a 9-5 and would go straight to school after work. I was very tired but I knew that finishing school would be a big accomplishment for me. Some lessons I learned along the way were to provide quality service to my clients. I put myself in their shoes as a client and how I would expect to be treated as client. I want them and the world to know that my brand is for everyone,my end goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment for my clients. I ensue to provide all clients with the information and resources they need to achieve their personal beauty goals.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my go to places to eat and show my friends when they visit is, Teranga City. They have great food, music, and drinks. The vibes there are great and the wait time is not bad at all. They are based in Atlanta, they also do brunch and at night turn into a night lounge. So you get the best of both worlds.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a huge thanks to my Mother who I lost last a month ago and my Grandmother. I would not be where I am in life or the woman I am today, if it was not for them. My mother was my biggest supporter, she always pushed me when it came to business. When I no longer wanted to do college anymore and attend beauty school my mother was super supportive. I know that if she was still here she would be extremely proud to know that I graduated Esthetician school.
My Grandmother paid for my lash course and supported me through out my whole process of growing my business. I am beyond grateful and thankful for both my Mother and Grandmother, I love them dearly.
Lastly, I want to give credit to my significant other; Kemi. Thank you for always believing in me. Even when I did not believe in myself, you pushed me to keep going and showing up.
