Hi Honey Renee, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Knowing whether to keep going or to give up is a challenging decision. It perhaps presents a major life choice as you come to a fork in the road- a deciding moment in life where a decision have to be made. It is not something to be taking lightly. Most optimist will favor the side of-keep going. I am an optimist and will always encourage others to keep going, giving up is not an option. However, there are times where one must come to a fork in the road and if giving up is an option, here are a few things to help make a more informed decision:

1. Remember your WHY-knowing your purpose is critical because it gives you directions. Remembering why you started allows you to prioritize and let go of whatever is no longer serving your purpose. This is a great time to evaluate whether your current efforts align with your long-term goals. If you still believe in the importance of your purpose, then there’s still room to keep going.

2. Examine your progress-Sometimes it helps to take a look back to see how far you have come. Taking a step back and objectively analyzing your progress is important. This allows you to celebrate even the small wins, and if there is room to celebrate, there’s motivation to keep going!

3. Surround yourself with people who want you to win: Seek feedback and sound advice from those who have blazed the path before you. Reach out to trusted mentors, friends or professionals who can provide you with valuable feedback to help you make an informed decision. Sometimes a different perspective is all the motivation you need to keep going.

4. Always, always, always listen to your intuition. Belief in self is critical to your success. Others may believe in you, but if you lack self-belief, giving up may sound like a viable option. Each situation is unique and the decision to keep going or to give up ultimately lies with you.

Although there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Each situation is different, taking the time to reflect, weigh your options, and celebrating the small wins will help you make the best decision for you.

Final thoughts: It’s okay to rest when needed, but after you have caught your wind, keep going!
