We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Shuler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was simplified to one sentence. “I want to create impactful work to the world.” From this small statement, I formed a plan on that day and worked on ideas, logos, and a website as well. The one thing I was missing was a name. I couldn’t think of anything valuable, until I looked at the date. “3/22/19”. I took out the one in 19 and the rest was history.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a creative. I know that word seems so cliche nowadays, but I truly cannot be limited when it comes to the art that I make. My peers sometimes call me a Jack of all trades. I am at heart a filmmaker, but my second love is music. In 2017 I found a way to blend the love of both by editing music videos and content for two artists (KA$HDAMI & redveil). As these artists grew into stardom, we started to have funds and opportunities to travel in 2020. From there I began to build a passion behind the camera, directing. From there, with the foundation and portfolio that I had, I began to take thing to the next level with my company 3229CO (CO short for collective). I began to manage musicians, and teach them how to become full fledged artists, taking their videos, cover art, and branding to the next level. I worked extremely hard during those COVID years and kept pushing our online progress. Waiting for the moment when I could go out and shoot. From there it’s been constant growth, such as notoriety from major artists, my work being featured on a Times Square billboard, creating video assets for music festivals. I want the world to know that everyone has their own path, but when you do it together, it’s better when you do it as a group.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m not the craziest Atlanta tourist BUT, my itinerary would be going to some art galleries. After that going to get wings. I haven’t tried too many spots but I have a list. We’ll explore the list throughout the week. Thats it. lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to recognize my parents LaTanya & Travis Shuler. My parents have always been my number one cheerleader, but they’ve also helped motivate me in so many ways. My mom’s unapologetic personality has encouraged me to get into rooms and be no one but myself. My dads resilience when he quit his 9-5 job to start his own business while having two children to take care of at home inspires me beyond this world. I wouldn’t be anywhere without their love and guidance.
