We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephen and Joi Albright and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephen and Joi, what do you attribute your success to?
We strive to provide the best customer service possible to take care of our customers’ needs, and to be consistent with that level of service on every job no matter how big or small it may be.
What should our readers know about your business?
Mr. Electric® was established in 1994 and is a global franchise organization that provides electrical installation and repair services. Our electricians make sure that each home we service operates at its peak performance level. We diagnose, repair & install electrical systems. The company has been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine among its “Franchise 500” and franchisees provide these services to both residential and commercial customers at almost 200 locations worldwide. Mr. Electric is a subsidiary of the Neighborly® family of service franchises.
Mr. Electric of Covington was opened in 2019 and we expanded our territory to add the McDonough location in 2021. To date, we operate three vans with three dedicated employees.
We are one of the largest and fastest growing electrical service companies in the world. With us, customers can expect upfront, fair pricing prior to us starting any project. We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship, so that each home and business is safe and efficient.
We’ve just celebrated our 5th anniversary! As with starting any new business, we’ve found that the process gets a bit easier from one year to the next. We show up for our business and are committed to learning and growing daily.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta metro area has a plethora of good eats and things to do here. If our family or besties were in town, we’d start with local attractions in the Covington, Conyers, and McDonough area and branch out to Downtown Atlanta.
For delicious breakfast or brunch options with the most decadent fried lobster you’ll ever try, we’d visit Nana’s Chicken and Waffles in McDonough, GA.
One afternoon, we’d explore Downtown Covington, GA, the “Hollywood of the South,” and take a tour of the movie and television locations filmed there. While another afternoon, we’d enjoy a round of mini golf and cool refreshments at the Skyline Park on the roof of Ponce City Market.
The fun has just begun at this point! Read on to let the good times roll!
After a day of fun, we’d relax and enjoy a nice dinner outdoors under the stars at City Pharmacy in Covington Square.
Lastly, we’d have to go to a game to top of our week long festivities. Go Falcons!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to thank our son, Stephen. He is the reason why we do what we do. We would also like to thank our employees who are the backbone of our company. They work hard daily to make our jobs easier. Last but not least, we would like to thank the communities we serve.
