We had the good fortune of connecting with Nivea Bodison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nivea, how do you think about risk?
Being a creative, everyday is a risk. When creating weather in photography, filmmaking, my art, or recently music creation there has always been a risk because the audience could not see the vision intended but it never broke my pursuit. But indeed the risk eventually comes reward because one day someone sees the vision and believes then comes others that fall in line and also believe in the vision. With the risk of being a creative comes that reward once you gather consistency and ability to stay true to creativity. Risk for me brings about self confidence, it’s me believing in my ideas and creativity enough to share them with the world. Risk is essential in my everyday life to think outside the box and stand firmly with it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Im Keye, a photographer, filmmaker, artist, entrepreneur, and so much more, but above all I’m a creative. In everything I do brings about a new creation, a new vision, and a new style. Being a creative is where I’ve found my peace and my joy; originally I had no clue in what I wanted to be or do but something I’ve always heard onto is my creative vision. My creative vision has never led me astray and pushes me to just think beyond each and everyday. I often challenge myself to think what’s never been done or what from history has been done can be revamped or I can add my own spin off of. This way of thinking evolves my photography, filmmaking, art, business ideas and so much more. I’ve learned to never give up on myself, how could I give up on me when I have so many ideas and so much passion and creativity to offer. I go out on a whim each day believing in my artistry and it hasn’t failed me. It’s not always easy but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Currently I’m just looking to expand and grow whether it’s meeting new people and building a film team, or it’s shooting with a variety of models, brands, or events. With being a creative I’ve learned to continue growing continue believing and know it is truly an endless pursuit of self discovery.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A day with my best friend is definitely going to be giving luxury eats and drop dead gorgeous views. My favorite food would have to be Italian so I’m definitely taking bestie to Bellini Alimentari where I’m ordering my favorite dish, the polpo pasta, if it’s not that Italian restaurant then it’s my other fav Ninos. If going to Ninos nearby is my favorite costume store where I find outfits and add for photo shoots and just to where on a daily basis. After going to the costume store and possibly playing around and trying on different costumes, we definitely have to do a classic of mine… thrifting. I can assure you I have many stores lined up and that would take quite a bit of time so if bestie is not too tired afterwards going to a bookstore and banking out. I loveeee reading so it’s practically required to end the day with a good book. The good book we get from the bookstore, we will then take and read in the park with a beautiful picnic setup. Now that’s what I call a pretty wholesome hangout.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout-out to my mother, her belief in my skills and creativity has brought me to where I am now.
