We had the good fortune of connecting with Zohra Aslam and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zohra, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
An unraveling process and a magical and precious healing journey, one that enabled me to see, feel, hear and experience myself and life through a different lens with no judgement. Being honest and vulnerable with myself that I was unwell and needed to pause and prioritize my health.

It was about how I treated myself. I began prioritizing my needs, my health, digging deep to understand the truth and empowering myself on getting to the root cause of chronic illness and autoimmune diseases. All while holding gentleness, kindness, patience and compassion for myself.

I knew that I had the power to make choices and decisions that would help my body to heal from stomach cancer and chronic illness. I looked outside of the conventional medical system and long and behold I found answers of how our bodies are capable of healing and reversing chronic symptoms. The miraculous healing power of a whole foods plant based diet, regulating our nervous system, managing stress, healing wounds, protecting our bodies from pathogens, toxic heavy metals, toxins and radiation are some of the key factors to maintaining health and wellness.

It begins by not normalizing sickness; but rather by normalizing healthy and life-changing behaviors. It may mean we act differently from what is considered the norm in our society. It begins by understanding the root cause to illness and taking our power back. It is this shift in focus that allows us to heal.

I was ready to take the journey to my true self, to explore the deeper and broader parts of myself at the rate that was right and natural to me. I wanted to discover more about who I truly was, and embrace and grow the expression of the amazing qualities that are instilled within.

The healing journey is far from perfection and it’s ongoing, it’s an ebb and flow that involves accepting, surrendering and embracing ourselves as we break, as we heal, and as we reconstruct.
As long as we are open to taking responsibility, learning, taking persistent action, having faith and doing the hard work we eventually get through. to the other side. When we peel back the layers we find a beautiful resilience and perseverance inside that we may not have known we had. Each step forward is a testament to your resilience. Keep going, for perseverance paves the path to greatness and the strength within you.

It is during the storm where we find our inner strength, faith, hope and come to realize what peace from within really is. We have no other option but to surrender and let the storm pass. Every storm is temporary and it is preparing us for something better and greater.

I discovered the jewel within me as I began to thrive and the potential that was within me strengthened my connection to my True Self.

Through my own journey I first found an interest in health, which eventually led to a passion, which led to a skill, which then turned into a craft to serve others. It all happened in divine timing and so organically by Gods beautiful design.

I’ve been a child educator for the better half of my life. But I have learned that each moment of our journey is preparing us and leading us to where we are meant to be in the present moment. This chapter of my life entails empowering and helping others to heal and get their quality of life back.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am Zohra Aslam and I am the founder of ZMINDBODYSOUL. I am a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach and have been supporting individuals all across the world to help achieve their wellness goals, specifically those with autoimmune conditions and chronic illness symptoms.

I am passionate about empowering my clients to unlock their potential and intuition so that they can take control of their own health.

I help my clients gain clarity, help them to find the root and secondary root causes to their symptoms, as well as addressing stress, triggers and wounding. I use a mind, body, soul and spirit approach to healing.

I assess each individual as a whole from the time they were in utero to current day. I use a variety of holistic modalities, including whole plant based nutrition, natural herbs, supplements, anti-viral and anti-bacterial protocols, Medical Medium protocols, cleansing from heavy metals and nervous system regulation techniques, etc.

We set realistic goals, and develop sustainable plans to overcome obstacles to get clients to their next step. I meet my clients where they are at in their journey.

Each client is unique and comes to me with a distinct list of symptoms that they need help addressing or wanting to take positive steps with their nutrition and lifestyle. Therefore I take the time to build a repertoire and get to know each individual and I create an individualized protocol based on where one needs support.

If you are struggling with your health, and are ready to take action and want a more prominent quality of life I invite you to book a 1:1 session with me so that we can work together to help you get the quality of life back that you deserve.

Choosing to be more authentically myself, being vulnerable, and being fully alive, attempting things that I feared, facing my failures, letting go of the idea of perfection are all things that I worked on and still currently work on before I started my business.

I attempted doing things that I feared and that I didn’t think were possible, but I kept picking myself up when I would get disappointing outcomes. Giving up was and is not an option for me, no matter what aspect of life I am in.

Before we can reap the benefits and rewards we need to put in the hard work, not giving up and doing things as many times as it takes to deepen our roots and get to the desired outcome that we hoped for.
Sometimes at the core of pain, there’s the light we repressed in the shadow calling our name. The light that is already within, waiting to be unburied beneath the layers of fear and protection that we were holding onto because we did not feel safe to shine. I invite you to find that inner light so that you can include more of the fullest expression of your brightness into the world. Reconnect with your true self and create the space for your soul to be free to shine.

Embracing all the fragments of who I am and learning how to love each piece of myself, even the beautiful broken pieces are what led me to lead, love and serve others with an open heart, compassion and kindness.

I am beyond grateful to have walked this path and indeed I would not be where I am today without all of the pain, lessons, growth, hardships and struggles that I was meant to endure on my journey.

If you are in this season of life have faith, find hope and be patient that you too are not in this season permanently. Leave it in Gods hands as his unique plan will always be greater and more beautiful than all of your disappointments and pain.

Sending each of you Love and Light.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

It’s next to impossible to imagine our lives without the magnificent nature. It not only provides us valuable resources but adds aesthetic value in our lives. Nature allows us with connecting with our inner-self but more important than that nature gives us some of the most valuable life lessons.

If my best friend was visiting I would plan to take her on a picnic in the beautiful depths of nature.  I would pack a delicious, healing spread and I would show her the beautiful trails, hikes and parks that Georgia has to offer.  We would spend the day hugging trees, grounding, meditating, just being present with each other, viewing the river’s whitewater and it’s lush wildlife and staying to capture the beautiful cotton candy sunset. There is something so beautiful about being in nature, feeling a sense of calmness, grounded and peace.

Some of my favorite parks and waterfalls that I would take her to are Old Mill Park, Waller Park, Roswell Mill Waterfall, Jones Bridge Park, Amicalola Falls State Park, Tallulah Gorge State Park, Anna Ruby Falls and Vogel State Park. Georgia has some of the most serene hiking trails and greenery.

Mother Nature is a best teacher, a great source of wisdom. It carries important life lessons for those who want to learn. It teaches us that whatever we sow, we reap. That life is all about moving and growing, giving more than receiving, facing obstacles that come in your way, to remain consistent in every situation and not let any obstacle stop us, and that you are exactly where you are meant to be in this exact moment.

Some other favorite places I would take my friend would be to all of the cute and cozy coffeeshops and bookstores so we could spend hours reading and discussing books over a cup of hot tea. And also I would take her to all of the clean eats, salad and juice bars so we can nourish and fuel our bodies.

Some of my favorite bookstores are Book Boutique, Bookish Atlanta, Poe and Company Bookstore, Posman Books, Read Shop by The Merchant, Charis Books and More, Little Shop of Stories and A Capella Books.

Some of my favorite healthy restaurants that we would eat at would be Clean Juice, True Food Kitchen, Playa Bowls, Rawsome Juicery, Arden’s Garden, Salata, Upbeet, Flower Child, Sweet Green, Vaz Kouzina, and Aviva by Kameel.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank God for all of the blessings he has bestowed on me.  I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my husband who is my rock and my dad who has transitioned, but his impact on my life will never be forgotten. He believed in me and supported every aspiration of mine.

I also would like to give a shoutout to each person that has ever crossed my path in this lifetime.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet you and thank you for the blessings and opportunities that you may have brought into my life.

I feel that we are meant to cross paths with other souls in our life for a reason.  Whether for them to guide us, for us to learn from, grow from or to see new ways of doing things.

People come into our lives so that we can work on our own wounding, triggers and healing.  Sometimes these people are the inspiration that we need to keep going in life because we have seen their struggles and pain and have seen them come out on the other side.

I personally feel every person I have crossed paths with has led me to something better and greater even if the relationship did not last.  They have helped me to discover who I truly am, and helped me embrace and grow the expression of the amazing qualities that I endure. They have helped me to release the potential that is within me. The people we meet and the relationships we have help us to become who we are in more ways than we know.

Some of these souls have helped me to finding faith and overcoming fears, showed me how to honor and respect differences, helped me to feel empowered. Others have given me the courage to show up for myself, as myself, to work on myself, to being kinder and having more love and compassion towards myself and others.

My interactions are not a one way process, that is why I know it is important I recognize the influence and difference others have made on my journey.

Each of you has had an impact on my life and I am extremely grateful that our paths crossed.
