Meet Andre Simon | President

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andre Simon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andre, what principle do you value most?
A value that matters in business is persistence. It is one of the most valuable ingredients in any successful company. Nothing about cleaning up a space is small whether the dust on the windowsill of an office suite or the dust at a construction zone, we must employ persistence to ensure completion of a job well done. We are persistent, not just in the quality of the service we provide to our clients, but in the way we take care of the people on our team.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A&B Corporate Cleaning Services (short for Atlanta & Beyond Corporate Cleaning Services, also known as A&B CCS) is a commercial cleaning service provider of janitorial and day porter services to commercial clients and property management companies. Our quality of service and retention of team members in a high-turnover industry set us apart. One of our clients informed us that unlike most companies that care about the acquisition of a new contract and whose work declines months later are unlike A&B CCS who actually services the contract. We believe that to be true and a big part of our success. Some of the lessons we have learned are: 1. The industry is unpredictable, but we cannot be, in that, we can walk into an avalanche, but we must always deliver our services at a high quality; 2. We cannot walk into an issue and pretend it does not exist, so, we must remain solution-driven and proactive; and 3. People are always looking for answers and our job is to provide the answers. What we would like the world to know about our brand is we do not compete, we deliver the best we have to offer and that is the story behind our growth.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Mission + Market Buckhead or The Select for weekend brunch; Capital Grille Perimeter or Buckhead and Fleming’s Steakhouse Perimeter for dinner, a Candlelight Concert in Atlanta for an event and Negril ATL for good Caribbean food and drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I credit my parents. My mother continues to be instrumental in my work ethic and I must credit her for demonstrating through her own diligence. When I must bulldoze through emotions or a mountain in front of me, I remind myself that my mother did it and so can I. I quote her to this day regarding teamwork – one hand washes the other, two hands wash the face …have you ever tried washing your face with one hand? While it certainly can be done, there is a level of difficulty that can be avoided.
