We had the good fortune of connecting with Maranda Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maranda, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success with my brand is to never give up! If you give up you will never succeed. I stay true to myself and what I believe in and made things happen one way or another!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started my brand PINK GANG from wanting to showcase talent. It started from a blog and working with models to actually producing my own print magazine in which I have the pleasure of showcasing my own photography work and others talent. I think what sets my brand apart is I’m not fake. I stay true to what ever I’m doing and who ever I work with. You will never have to worry about my brand showcasing negativity. It wasn’t easy starting off my magazine because you have to work with so many different types of people and personalities, but once you get the hang of it you just start learning the ropes and how to deal with people. Through my journey so far I’ve learned to never give up, trust no one until proven they can be trusted, do your research and stay consistent! I want the world to see I truly love what I do. I’m here to showcase good quality talent and inspire others to do what they always wanted to do in life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Man it’s so much to do in Atlanta lol! I always love going to a good restaurant with views and and beautiful ambience. Sky lounge and The Garden will give you just that. I would also check out the historic museums and you can’t go to Atlanta without hitting a dope lounge or party. The Caribbean and African clubs are always a vibe. If you like shopping Phipps Plaza is a nice mall and you never know who you will run into out there.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to my cousin Rhonda Marie! She put me on tv for the first time on “Private Practice” when I was 18 and did my first photoshoot of me in which gave me the motivation to get into the entertainment world. I always give credit to my mom for always holding me down and supporting what ever I do. And also shout out to the magazines I worked for before I started my own. (Chic Magazine and Rebel View)
