We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Taylor Branding Company initially started as a side hustle. I knew I had the mindset of an entrepreneur and I’ve always been a creative person, so I came up with a way to use my passion for design to help others and make extra money simultaneously. By creating eye-catching graphics and websites, my clientele grew and what started as a side gig expanded into something much bigger! I call it “Turning passion into purpose and profits!”.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Taylor Branding Company offers brand and web design, and social media management majority for start-up businesses. Although this requires diligence, so from brainstorming captivating brand identities to the countless hours poured into perfecting every detail, building my business has been a labor of love. Hard work and long hours have yielded rewarding relationships with my amazing clients.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There’s so much to do in Atlanta! We would definitely get a good workout in while hiking Stone Mountain or Kennesaw Mountain. Piedmont Park for a nice bike ride on the belt line the workout on the next day. I’d show them around Ponce Market, it’s a great place to walk around, enjoy the vibe and get a bite to eat. The other restaurants we would go would be Negril Village, Two Urban Licks, Mary Macs Tea Room, and Mr. Everything! Oh, and we would go to Sevananda Natural Food Market for sure, because they have the best healthy options!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The book “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy helped me realize that subconscious mind is the silent partner in my journey, I begin to feed my subconscious positive thoughts as if like watering seeds. Telling myself I am a successful business owner, telling myself that I am rich, or that I will attract my ideal clients. From those positive affirmations, I’ve seen so many great things start to manifest in my life and my business.

I also want to thank my amazing friend, the owner of Youthnique and Nonprofit Consulting Firm, Torri Hicks. When I moved to Atlanta, she was one of the first friends I made and she inspired me to start my own business. Seeing someone work for themselves and be successful was truly inspirational and lit a fire within me. She’s always there to support me and give great business advice so for that, I will always give her the recognition that she deserves!
