Meet Neda Raeisian | Abstract Artist and dentist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Neda Raeisian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Neda, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
I think the key to success in anything is to follow your passion. Unfortunately I found my passion late in life but I know I have to pursue it. When you follow your passion things just work out and you never give up or get tired. You just keep going untill you succeed. It never gets boring because it is not work. It is just play.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I always loved art and appreciated it but never thought I would be the one to do it one day and have my art appreciated by others. My first passion was medicine and that is why I pursue it as my first profession . However, after doing it for a while I felt like I need an outlet that balances the stress of medicine . That is how I discovered my art. I just started it as a hobby and something to fill my day when everything shut down during COVID. But soon I realized that my passion for art is something not to be ignored but pursued . It is not an easy road because I started late in my life but that didn’t stop me . I have been experimenting and doing my art for the past four years. What sets me apart is I never had an official training and I am self thought. I learned completely through a lot of failures . But I never gave up and kept going. I learned that if you truly love something you would get good at it. The right people and circumstances would show up for you to help you. You just have to trust yourself and bet on yourself everyday. It was very challenging for me to find my style but now I feel like I am there and I want to take it even to the next level. I want to bring the joy and happiness that I feel when I do my art into the homes of the people who own them. I do pour a piece of my heart into every piece that I do and I want people to feel that. To me, art is just not something you put on the canvas . It is something that creates a feeling in individuals. It could be a depressing or sad feeling but to me it is still art and needs to be appreciated. My goal is to create pleasure and fun in the minds of the observer. My favorite quote I read once is:
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what your are doing you will be successful “. I am a true believe on this.
Art is the only way to escape without leaving my home. I am very grateful everyday that I found this hidden treasure within myself that brings me and the people around me so much joy and fulfillment. I am so excited to see where this journey will take me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Assuming my friends like the same things I do because usually that is the case. I would love great food and appropriate it a lot . It doesn’t have to expensive or anything it is just have to be good. I would take them to some local papa and mom owned restaurant with authentic food. I love the nature and outdoors. I do appriciate the beauty of the nature and get a lot of inspiration from it so I would take my friends to see some scenery around me like a beautiful garden or waterfall. I also love to travel and know different cultures . So I would also like to take them to little towns that have history and culture. I love the feeling of little towns specially Europe. I think if you really want to know a country you have to travel through their little towns to feel the authencity of the people and food. I love doing that.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give thanks to everyone who purchased or appreciated or supported my art in anyway. I would like to thank all the galleries that present my arts. I would love to thank all my followers in social media. I would like to thank shoutout Atlanta for doing my story and letting people to recognize me . I would love to thank my husband for letting me be free and explore and use half of my house for my art without complaining.
