We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Willis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose this career as a way to express myself. I hate having to mask my true self. I like to maintain my personality and still be considered professional. Creativeness is definitely an outlet for me. It gives me the mental escape that we all need.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My creativity sets me apart from others. In this business you have a lot of the “same” looks. I provide a fresh and completely different approach to whatever it is the client is looking for. I make sure they will have a look that will set them apart from the competition, a look that is eye catching. I’ve definitely learned that in order to be successful you have to be passionate about what you do. I care about my clients, it’s not all about the money and that’s why they come back to me.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a chill girl. I enjoy a night in and so does my friends. For the most part we enjoy movie nights at home with the kiddos, maybe a little wine, games and laughter. I’m all about being a mom, if we can take the kids on a nice play date and maybe a nice lunch or dinner it’s a fulfilling weekend for me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Id like to dedicate my shoutout to my son, Kaiden. He changed my life and motivated me to start my business. I’m a single mother and I know I have to do whatever it takes to take care of my little one. With post partum depression, financial troubles, relationships issues and more, my business was just what I needed as an outlet for myself while bringing in income to support myself and my son.
