Meet Luca Napoleone | Private Chef

We had the good fortune of connecting with Luca Napoleone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luca, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After spending many years in the food and beverage industry, I realized I wanted to pursue my dream of owning a business. I spent time contemplating how to make this happen, what steps to take, and how to get started. One day, a VIP guest who frequented the restaurant where I worked as an executive chef asked me to cook for him and his friend at his villa in Dubai for a special event. I accepted the offer. At the end of the event, the guests were highly pleased with the food, and a few even asked me to cook for them at their villas. This experience made me realize I could turn my passion into a business and work for myself. So, I left my job and opened Private Chef Dubai.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a chef, I am an artist. There are many talented chefs over there, as many painters, etc., end everyone has his art and style..there is no better artist than another; we are just different. I want to spend a few words for all the chefs out there because I know in my skin how hard this job is, and I want to tell them to keep going and follow their dreams. One of the most important things that make me happy are the people who love my food and the people that understand my art. wasn’t easy to reach this point; I have faced many challenges, but in the end, responsibility and dedication always overcome any issues.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First of all, there is nothing better than the coziness of your home; I would invite him here, prepare a nice dinner for us and spend the first evening with the family. I live in Dubai, where there are a lot of tourist attractions. I would choose the most iconic to visit, such as Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, etc. I would Bring him to eat and enjoy the evening at Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC); all the best places are there. Finally, I would take him to the desert, where you can stay in a camp overnight, ride camels, and enjoy the dune of the desert with a quad. N.B. The most important thing is not where you spend your time..is how you spend it and who you spend it with.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Of Course, I will always be thankful to my wife, Eva, for her endless support and love.. we all know how difficult it is to run our own business.. she always makes me feel good, protected, and loved..she gives me peace of mind, which is so important.
