We had the good fortune of connecting with iKhava Omogé and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi iKhava, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The first thought that comes to mind is that our success is fueled by serving a greater purpose. As you know, our firm, iKhava Omogé Creations, donates a percentage of sales of every handbag and NFT to children caught within the American foster care system. It’s just something about this that really motivates me to create the most unique, unforgettable designs that our customers are willing to collect. Our customers know that they are impacting childrens lives as well. I think these two key elements fuel our success.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m such a big fan of movies, art and the latest fashion trends. That made it easy for me to create a company that allows me to channel these interests into the designs and products that I create. I want the world to know that I gave the company the name, “Ikhava Omoge Creations”, which means the “beautiful lady on the cover”. I think what sets us apart is that we seek to create products which truly meet at the intesection of Luxury, Artistry, Fashion & Beauty. I have to add though that the process hasn’t been easy but it’s been gratifying. Finding manufacturers that understand our vision and our purpose is one of the biggest hurdles we’ve had to overcome.

The main lesson I’ve learned is to embrace the journey and to be observant. There’s not a day that I don’t get inspiration from a new idea, new trend or new approach that can bring our customers the value they seek.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, we’d paint the town of Atlanta red.
There’s always a great art festival you can find which would be on the
itinerary but I’d leave plenty of room for handbag shopping which is
such a passion on mine. There’s no shortage of eclectic restaurants
we’d visit too and most importantly, taking sometime to visit some of
the Atlanta charities that provide clothing and so many other services for foster
children throughout the state of Georgia.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our inspiration comes from so many socially conscious companies like Bombas, Warby Parker, and Cisco that contribute respectively to the homeless, those who can’t afford glasses and HBCU’s. I’d have to also dedicate my shoutout to my family who is behind me 150% in my pursuit a greater cause –which intersects with my current passion to design and even model sometimes for my own products and designs.
