We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Christina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brooke, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose to pursue a creative career due to the fact that I never felt compelled or drawn to do anything other than create. The one thing I get to do is tell stories in my own way and help people not feel alone. Sometimes I enjoy getting to be someone other than myself. Trust me, I love myself more than anything but sometimes it’s nice getting away from the everyday pressures of being Brooke. Stepping out of reality, if it is only for a few hours while shooting. In some ways, through every project or audition I’ve done, I’ve learned something new about myself. I love this career because I feel the most alive, while also feeling so safe as in, I can do anything I put my mind to no matter how scary or uncomfortable it might seem. I can be an introvert most of the times, but when I’m on my set especially with other fellow actors, I feel at home and the introvert does not exist anymore.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Honestly, the one thing about me is I feel as things come naturally for me when I’m in front of the camera, whether thats poses, I am always telling a story through those poses and just letting it come to me. Even with acting, I prioritize learning about my character so I can tap into my character as best as possible. I’m proud of myself and my consistency, I have learned so much and improve every single day. I am devoted to learning on how to be a better performer no matter what. Disciple is what got me where, also patience and having faith. Without those 3 components, it would have been quite insurmountable. The most important lesson I have learned is to “enjoy the journey”. Eventually, I am going to reach my destination but in the mean time, I am learning the lessons I need, for when I reach that destination.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The one person that I will always say has always supported me is my mom. The one thing she will always do is promulgate me to anyone and everyone she knows while also expressing how proud of me she is. Almost every single phone call consists of different ways on how I can elevate in my career, or just my life, in general. Without her blessing, it would have been hard to instill so much belief in myself but I’m thankful to have her support no matter what. A support system is so beneficial for individuals pursuing creative careers.
