We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Pollard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sabrina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My initial thought of starting my own business was survival. As a mother making a way for my family was always my main focus. Learning to cook as a way to provide turned into a passion the more I was able to see the joy it brought others. It allowed me an avenue of creativity I’d never experienced and I loved it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Getting to where I am was not easy, however it wasn’t supposed to be. Doing what I do requires grit, sustainability, determination and more. The hardest part was believing in myself and trusting myself to jump out there and go after my dream my way. Along the way I’ve learned that communication, consistency and a learning mindset are key to growth and becoming a game changer. My brand isn’t just about food or events it’s about creating experiences and moments that are unforgettable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a friend visit I’d take them to Sage Woodfire Grill or The Four Seasons for brunch, and then to have some fun at Sandbox VR. Then go for a fun session of Sip & Paint at Design on a dime. Finally relaxing at a suite by the pool at The Twelve at Atlantic Station!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My story has several heroes. My village has supported me and been there for every bump and bruise along the way. My main hero’s are my children. They have been my event staff, secretaries, personal shopper, staging crew and more so to Jasmine, Derrick, Taylor, Kennedy, Christopher Kaila and Kalib thank You so much.
