We had the good fortune of connecting with Lyrical Foxx and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lyrical, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want my legacy to be one of inspiration, knowledge, courage, endurance, and building generational wealth. It is my hope that people will remember me as a light that continued to shine no matter the obstacles I encountered on my journey. A legacy of love, growth, and empowerment. A legacy that encourages all to go after their dreams no matter how big or small. Lyrical Foxx World was created by a dream and faith.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Lyrical Foxx wears many hats. Born and raised in Mississippi. I came from very humble beginnings. I have always considered myself to be a creative in several areas. I had a vision and I stepped out on faith and took the leap! I got my start in pageantry as a child, which in turn peaked my interest in entertainment. My family was filled with musicians, blues singers, and other creatives which peaked my interest in music and entrepreneurship. Living in one of the most poverty ridden states was a major challenge. I had all these ideas with no way to expand or pursue them. I learned early on that as not only a woman..but a black woman I would have to work super hard to accomplish any goal I set for myself. So I eventually left Mississippi and began my journey. I began modeling, managing music artist, hosting, and event planning. It seemed as if one thing always led into another. I then began to look into markets and opportunities outside of just the music industry. Shortly after that I created Lyrical Foxx World. I never believed in limiting myself or my abilities. Lyrical Foxx World has become a umbrella of many different services. From artists bookings & management , to podcasts & hosting, and I have recently added distribution and logistics under the Lyrical Foxx World umbrella. It’s definitely not easy to have a full plate, however the vision I have for my future generations makes it all worthwhile.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my personal favorite places to be is near any body of water and in nature. I’m almost sure my friends will tell anyone that I’m the most exciting boring person to hang out with. Truth is most of my time is spent working which entails me being out and about most times. Even a night on the town is usually work for me. However, I will always be a Mississippi girl at heart so when my friends visit I’m trying to throw down in the kitchen because WHO doesn’t love soul food?…Right?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have been blessed to have supportive people stand with and behind me. I want to thank my mom Jacquelyn Kyle, my beautiful children El’draco and ShaKiyah for being my driving force and inspiration. My family, CEO & President of Skreet Legendz Network Music Boi Trap, Musician & Soul Charge host Kyra LaShawn, Next Level Radio host Douglas Elliot, F.O.G, Kels Minor, Kobeazy Entertainment, JellyWorld, and all those who have supported me on this journey. You guys are the real MVP’s!
