We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Luckey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Jazz it Upp Skin and Body Spa is a full service spa, we specialize in organic skin care treatemtns for all people. We are located south of atlanta in Fayetteville Ga. After 15 years in nursing I decided to pursue my passion of skincare I am a licensed master esthetician. Using my knowledge of skincare I created a full skincare line Jazz it Upp Skincare System, Our skincare system is 100% organic that is safe and effective for all skin types. We have products for the every day person with normal skincare issues and the person that may be suffering with chronic acne or hyperpigmentation. Having a full service spa allows us to work on all areas of the body not just the face, We also offer non ivasive Laser Liposuction as well as non surgical butt enchantments and detoxing and many other skin Services. When I opened my spa almost three years ago I envisioned my self working as a solo esthetican however after a year in and with a growing clientele I quickly realized I was over my head and I couldn’t keep up with the demand. One lesson I have learned in this business is in order to grow you have to have a team of like minded individuals, you also have to be willing to delegate appropriately. Currently we have three talented licensed estheticians and we are still growing. One challenge that I sometime face would be that while providing a relaxing experience I have to be mindful to give yourself the proper rest time as well, that something I’m not always great at. The thing that I am most proud of is the fact that I have completely stepped out side of my former traditional job into my passion, most of my friends and family did not completely my understand vision yet I continued to push forward not letting anyone kill my dream. The joy that I have being able to wake up everyday and go into my own business doing something that I absolutely love brings me so much fulfillment. Building relationships and friendships with my clients makes it all worthwhile, this journey is deeper than skincare, this journey is about being the best version of you and being completely happy in your skin.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestie was visiting Atlanta the first thing we would do is have a spa day at Jazz it Upp Skin and Body to ensure we are completely relaxed and looking our best with our skin glowing. Next we will have brunch at one of my favorite brunch spots, Atlanta breakfast Club after we completely stuff our faces we will head over to 10th and Peachtree for bottomless mimosas and granmosa which is a mix of champagne,OJ, Grand Marnier. For dinner we will go to my absolute favorite Caribbean resturant Negril atlanta. The remainder of the time we will hit all of the local Mexican and italitan spots. As well as some of my favorite bakeries.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person who supports me and encourage me the most is my Grandmother. My granny is the strongest and wisest person I know. After raising her own children and retiring she reached back and took on the responsibility of raising her son 2 kids My younger brother and myself. Growing up I use to be embarrassed that I didn’t live with my parents, later I realized that living with my granny was a blessing. Being raised by my granny allowed me to witness true strength and wisdom along with unconditional love The knowledge that she have instilled in me is priceless. At 84 years young she continues to motivate me and encourage me in all aspects of my life. I don’t know who or where I would be without my granny.
