We had the good fortune of connecting with Kashayla Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In my journey to becoming a creator I have had the opportunity to explore my creativity and what makes it unique. I am most excited about my opportunity to work and create with women who look like me. I have had the honor to work with brands such as “MYHAIRLOCKER” who make it possible to continue my journey as a creator. The independence to market the brand in my own way makes it all worth it. I am able to use my Marketing degree techniques to make an impression on potential customers all while being my authentic self. This brand collaboration has been a factor in helping me launch other brand deals with companies such as Teami Blends, VLuxuryBoutique,Clean Juice, Klaiyi Hair, and Janet Collection just to name a few.

I would not say it has been the easiest journey but it has definitely been one worth continuing. I believe in life we have choices. Either we choose to accept our calling or choose to accept the impact of not accepting our calling. Both have two different outcomes and I want to be the one who chose to take the risk. You never know what experiences you’ll have or where life could take you by following your heart. I have learned to lay a brick a day. Yesterday wont look like today and today you’ll be closer than you were yesterday. Keep going!

I want the world to know that Kashayla AKA “QUEENOVHEARTS” was a girl who decided to go for it and that whatever you can imagine you can obtain. I want to continue to inspire people to start their own journey and know that the rest will fall into place. I believe if God gave you the vision, all it takes is your obedience to start and he will equip you with everything you need along the way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I currently reside in Charlotte,NC where there are plenty of great things to do . My bestfriend and I thoroughly enjoy doing our makeup, putting on nice clothes and heading out to nice places to catch up.

We would have brunch at : STIR, Sports One, or Stats.

For drinks I would take her to the brand new Novelty House that has rooftop views of the city. There are also other rooftops that I think she’d enjoy such as Nuvole or Merchant and Trade.
Of course we’d make time for a nap because who doesn’t love mid day naps? LOL

We’d visit the Rooftop Pool at the Coin Bar to relax for a bit and for dinner we’d go to Restoration Hardware, Steak 48 or Fahrenheit!
