We had the good fortune of connecting with Corey & Jessica Perlman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corey & Jessica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We decided early on that we wanted to control our own destiny. Both of us had been employed by different companies and quickly learned that wasn’t the path for us. We wanted to build our own schedules – which included being present for big moments that were yet to come.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our Company Mission: We believe that social media is more than just a marketing channel – it’s a way for businesses to connect with customers on a deeper level. Our mission to help our clients build authentic, long-lasting relationships with their customers and prospects through strategic social media marketing. Our team is committed to staying at the forefront of the ever-changing digital landscape to ensure our clients stay ahead of the competition.

How it is running a business as husband and wife:
It’s tough running a business as husband and wife. We’ve gone through a lot of challenges along the way and still have to create strong boundaries between work and family.

Over the years, we’ve gotten better at knowing each other’s strengths and weaknesses and giving a lot of GRACE to each other and those around us.

Our advice to married entrepreneurs?

Dale Carnegie Principle #3 “If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.”

Admitting mistakes can be difficult but it can also be a powerful way to build trust and respect with others. By showing humility to one another and a willingness to learn from our mistakes, we have been able to become more effective communicators and leaders.

Oh, and champagne! We break out a glass of bubbly each week to celebrate the wins, big or small, in this journey from interns to business partners.

What we are proud of when it comes to our agency:
We are high-touch, client focused and every client gets a unique, customized solution.

We are most proud of our long-standing relationships. We have had some clients for over 10 years and they have become not just colleagues, but family.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We live in Roswell, so we would definitely take them around to some of our favorite destinations here. We would go to breakfast at Thumbs Up Diner, Lunch at Lazzaro’s Cuban Cuisine and top it all off with dinner at Monkey68 – the best sushi around (in our opinion!)

Between meals, we might take you on a hike around the Roswell Mill, a bike ride on the Greenway, and finish off the day with a glass of champagne at Deep Roots.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Some books that helped guide us would be: 4-Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris, Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kyosaki and Sharon Lechter, How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie and eMyth by Michael Gerber
