We had the good fortune of connecting with Dayle Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dayle, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing about my industry that outsiders are unaware of is that creatives come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. We don’t all do the same things in the same way. Not all creatives are quiet and live as hermits. Some of us are loud, expressive, and some of us are soft-spoken. We are not a catch-all of talent. We are thinkers, problem solvers, and most of all makers of joy.

Please tell us more about your career. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets me apart from others is my unique ability to bring creativity into work culture and personal experiences. I have always worked for companies that hired me to lead creative teams. What I have found in my experience is that the non-creative teams also needed help using creativity as a tool to problem solve throughout the company. This has not been an easy sell. I’ve had to prove that we all need to utilize creativity over and over again throughout my career.

The way I have overcome this is to offer workshops and coaching to all teams and their leaders. It works every time! When they use what they have learned, they are able to improve the way they solve problems, empower teams, and increase productivity. What I want the world to know is that creativity drives people to be their best, most joyful selves. My job is to help nurture that creativity, wherever you are.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here’s the run down of my favorite long weekend spots in Atlanta. If you are in town, this is what we are doing:

Friday dinner at Nina and Rafi pizza, Friday night dancing on the Rooftop at Ponce City Market with DJ Opdiggy.

Saturday morning breakfast at Home Grown, Saturday afternoon: walk on the beltline, Saturday evening: Altanta United Game.
Sunday morning church Passion City Church, Sunday afternoon football at Hudson Grille with my Ravensnation! (And yes we watch the other games too.)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my family and my circle. Without them, I would have given up a long time ago. They encourage me, inspire me, and lift me up.
