We had the good fortune of connecting with Gadrien Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gadrien, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Years ago on candler road a drug addict gave me some jewels that I live by to this day. “You want to be rich you gotta take the risk nephew”. I’ve realized life is all about ups and downs and the road to your goals literally start with sacrifices and risk. I think back and I’m proud of myself for never letting up and risking my personal lifestyle in exchange for dedicated work. I’m still taking risk everyday, but I know in my heart that’s what it’s going to take to achieve my dreams. Calculated risk and sacrifices always seems strange to people on the outside but soon I feel they will see and understand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
G.H.E.T.T.O.G.L.O.B.A..L my creed, my code of honor and excellence. Genuinely Helping Everyone Treaded Through Oppression Giving Light Offering Brotherhood And Loyalty. We’re more than just a production company. My goal is to motivate and inspire. I feel we are set apart because honestly we’re not competing with no one else, artist who work with us know that every-time we film it’s an unique experience. This road that I’ve been on is not easy and hasn’t been since the beginning. I prepared and developed every plan that I have to make my company become great while inside of prison. I remember people coming to me asking me what you over here writing? I would reply with im working on this script for this movie idea I got. Most people would laugh and say you really serious about making movies huh? Inside the state pen my dreams were supported by my fellow convicts and that support i still feel and value to this day. My first movie is finally coming out soon and I hope I make all my people proud, but this is still just the beginning.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m going to start this by saying there is no place like Atlanta. Depending on the type of vibe you looking for it’s all types of dope places to visit. The Trap Museum is dope and chill, I also like Fuego De Chaos Brazilian Steak House. Allure night club is one of my favorite after hours spots to visit. Atl Comedy club is a vibe, Edgewood smoke shop is a cool place, Esco bar on Peter street is always a chill spot. I can’t lie it’s too many places to name, just know if your ever thinking about coming to Atlanta it’s something here that’s for any and everybody. Atlanta is Black Excellence in physical form.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this interview to all the guys behind the wall and the ones who did time with me down the road. Never give up on yourself. You might not fit the status quo but you can redeem yourself, you can start over as long as a you plan, strategize and stay focused you can do whatever you set your mind too. In prison I met some of these most talented and creative people I’ve ever met in my life, so this one is for you guys. If it wasn’t for prison I doubt I would have made it this far honestly.
