We had the good fortune of connecting with Mario Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mario, how do you think about risk?
The greatest risk is not taking one! I’m a firm believer that taking risks is crucial to your success in life no matter what walk of life you’re in. Taking risks helps you to expand your comfort zone and push yourself to reach new heights that can only come through taking a leap of some sort. I personally believe that fear is what keeps a lot of us from accomplishing things we had no idea we could ever attain. Faith over fear is my motto because until you overcome the fear of failure, you’ll be immobilised at the prospect of taking risk. Handicapped faith can only get you so far! My life has repeatedly shown me that failure can actually propel you and become a bridge to your success. One thing I do want people to understand is that you have to learn how to be patient with yourself, be kind to yourself, and remember that entrepreneurship is a continuous process that takes time. Don’t be afraid to take the leap of faith, because the rewards of taking risks and seizing opportunities although may make some days tougher than others, it also can be the moment that changes life for not only you but for generations after you. If you can dream it, you can do it! Being an entrepreneur or even just trying to find your way in life is all about taking risks and having faith. Please don’t live this life without unlocking the best version of you, step out of your comfort zone and watch how things start to unfold for you!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I don’t think of myself as just a photographer, I look at myself as an artist/creative.

My passion and the ability to make people feel confident sets me apart, I go above and beyond for each and every person that steps foot behind my camera. It’s not a job for me, it’s my life.

I’ve put in countless hours to perfect my craft! Day in and day out I’m critiquing my work, being a sponge to people that have been doing this for a while just to continue to grow, in my opinion you’re never too good to get better.

My commitment and dedication to becoming the best that I can possibly be at what I do, is what makes me proud. When you’ve put in the time and the work to become great, it means that much more to you. It is my goal to differentiate and set myself apart from any and everybody in this business, with hard work, dedication, and God on my side I truly believe that the sky is the limit for me.

Challenges are inevitable in business,, if you aren’t ready to face adversity then this might not be for you. Having cancer at 3 years old, losing my mother at 5 years old, open heart surgery at 13 years old, I’ve been prepared to face any challenge life brings me. My stance is, if God brought me through that, he’ll surely bring me through the tough times I may face in entrepreneurship. Stay committed, stay optimistic, keep your faith, and nothing can stop you but you.

A few lessons I’ve learned along the way are to treat your business like a business no matter how many people think they “know” you or are “close” to you. Once you start to allow certain things, people will take advantage. Your clientele is your clientele, you don’t have to move the needle to make anyone comfortable!
Also, you have to keep going no matter who does and doesn’t support you, I found out that a lot of your support will come from the people that you don’t know and that’s ok, I also learned that alot of your best clients are the people that you have no relationship with.

My brand is growing rapidly, I recently relocated from Michigan here to Atlanta and that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. We want you to know that you will receive the best quality possible as well as the best service, we don’t look at you as a client but more so a partner. I’m extremely grateful for the growth so far and excited about what’s getting ready to happen for our business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my absolute favorite spots in the city is the Look cinema. If you want to go alone or as a couple it’s going to be an amazing experience for you! It’s a place you must check out! Who would love amazing food while watching your favorite new movie?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
For me, all credit goes to God. I could not and would not be where I am today without his faithfulness to me. I lost my mother at 6 years old with all odds stacked up against me throughout life, but God has stood by me and kept me even in moments where I thought I was going to lose my mind. So for me God has been my source of strength, my everything and I couldn’t dare give any credit or honor to anyone above him.
