We had the good fortune of connecting with Lakith Adikaram and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lakith, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Hey guys, stoked to be doing this interview with ya’ll.

So the main reason behind that i pursed a career in music is because it’s something you love personally. It connects more people together and creates moments for everyone.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well i’ve been a music producer for around 4 years now. Before i started music production, i was fascinated with house music and after shifting around through different genres i found my place in Progressive House. Then only i learned about artists like Guy J , Subandrio , Nick warren and they inspired me so much through their music that i started music production of my own. Had a rocky start at first but afterwards i found a mentor that helped me through it all. I have to give a shouout to my mentor “Kyotto”. He was the one to teach me about music production. I’ve learned a lot through him and through the years i was able to create my own unique sounding rhythms and grooves to match my style.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mentor he taught me everything in general with music.
