Meet TJ Green | Animation that focuses on bringing stories to life

We had the good fortune of connecting with TJ Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TJ, what do you attribute your success to?
Work Ethic
I love to study the greats in different areas. Since I am a former basketball player, i reference to basketball a lot. So even when it comes to the greatest basketball players, one things always stood out when they talked about what set them apart. And it was always work ethic. No matter how much talent or skill they had, work ethic made them who they were. It allowed them to do things that others weren’t able to. This is why I focus on work ethic so much.
Every business is different in the world, even if they are in the same industry, This means that each business has a set of different obstacles they have to overcome to achieve their version of success. So there are only a few common factors that will make you different and one of them is work ethic.
Work ethic allows me to constantly improve, do what others in my industry won’t be able to, and learn from my mistakes

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets us apart: For one in the spaces we are in, the animation is unique. Small business owners, nonprofit organizations, and government departments. But we are not the only ones doing animation (although there not a lot in the south) Not only does the animation make us special but we also depend on a solid process to help things run smooth for us on the backend and to provide guidance for the customer. We have a laid out process for when a client is interested in animation. We provide support and assistance for them all the way in the beginning. They only need a goal they are trying to reach and we can take it from there. Another thing that makes us real special in my opinion is our laser focus mentality on helping the client reach their goal. We always ask our clients : “What does success look like for this project after completion?” We want to make sure all our clients goals are met when working with us.
Overcoming: One thing as a company we have to overcome is that most business owners and organizations do not know animation is an option for them. and once we meet them and let them know it is, they they do not know how to use it in their operations or communication. So we have to do a lot of education on the front end. Early on when I would communicate to prospects about what I do, they would always respond with “Every business needs what you are doing” but the pr0spect I was speaking with, would never take action themselves. So I had to think and learn, why no one was buying. Then I asked one prospect, if he knew how he would use animation in his business and he responded how he did not know. After that I began to proactively tell others how they would use the animation and I started to notice people would buy.
So one thing I would tell others is evaluate how your sales conversations and elevator pitches are going. So you can constantly revise them and make them better. You need to have a pre plan going into each conversation
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend is like me so he loves to play basketball.
So during a week long trip I would still get some work done during the week, so i would get to the office around 5 and finish up around noon since he is in town. We would then go play basketball at a court in Memphis or north mississippi
As far as hanging out spots I am a go with the flow / spontaneous type of person so we would see what we feel like doing and where we feel like going,

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Entrepreneurship Center at Mississippi State University
I started my business while in college while I was in school. The Entrepreneurship Center (E-Center) gave me a space to do so. They also provided mentorship, opportunity to receive grant funding by pitching my business, and a space to get acclimated into the business world (in which I had no experience)
