We had the good fortune of connecting with Blerona Begolli Shabani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blerona, what do you attribute your success to?
My name is Blerona, I am 29 years old. I live in Georgia , born and raised in Kosovo. I have been a certified makeup artist for 10 years. Although I was a makeup artist in Kosovo for six years prior to moving to New York,
becoming a freelance makeup artist was not an easy process here.
I was born in a family of hairstylists and been watching beauty being created since I was a child. I first started doing makeup for family and close friends. The most important factor behind my success is my dedication and passion to do what I love.
I love being a part
of someone’s special day,to make them feel and look beautiful!
Making women even more beautiful
and seeing their happiness is a
reward for me.
Throughout life, I learn to never give up. Hard work is what I believe is the goal to success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since I recently moved to Georgia, I am still figuring out fun places to explore. The places that I loved so far are Stone Mountain Park for a morning walk and the laser show in the evening.
Ponce city market is a fun place to shop and enjoy a nice dinner at the rooftop restaurant.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am very grateful for my family and wonderful husband. He supports and encourages me to chase my dreams.
