We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Simmons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, why did you pursue a creative career?
Great question! I’ve always had an interest in all aspects of art. It’s like a gift live for me. Art was a release for me and allowed me to express myself in way that I felt comfortable. Me doing nails allows me to that but also help me make women all over feel great about themselves.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets Pressed by B apart from many others is that we’re more focused on the art of being different. We love to create unique pieces for our customers to allow them to feel bold and beautiful.
I’m extremely excited to see so many women love the fast fashion of press on nails but love the fact they can customize them to their unique style of whatever that may be. The journey to starting Pressed by B was not easy. There was a lot late nights, crying, starting over but we made it! I had to realize that I can only fail at this if I didn’t try. I became more focused on my goal and set out to become a successful business owner.
Throughout this process I learned how to make better decisions about vendors and listening to customer feedback as an opportunity for my brand to become better whether the feedback was good or bad.
I want the world to know that Pressed by B is a really dope custom press on nail brand that tailors to the everyday girl who wants to switch up her solid style, whether going from the office to happy hour but doing so in style at an affordable price. We specialize in providing handcrafted high end soft gel nail extension press ons. Pressed by B is united by one common motif- creating standards and not trends. Our high quality products are developed with one goal in mind: to break the habit of fast nail fashion and provide trendy yet classy nails. We deliver with quality, consistency, and innovation at affordable prices.
Our Pressed Babes are able to get great looks in a matter of minutes without the hassle of stepping in a salon.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Whew! My bestie comes to town I’m first going to take her to brunch, but brunch Atlanta style! We’re going to Toast on Lenox for an amazing brunch and great photo ops. As all Atlantans know brunch simply runs into a day party so we’ll head on over to one of them. To end the night I’ll take her to The Battery for great food and fun. We’ll end our weekend with breakfast at South City Kitchen, one of my favorite restaurants.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I was originally terrified to pursue my passion for doing artistic nails out of fear of failure. My mother and boyfriend really pushed and motivated me so much. There was so many times I wanted to give up but they really were there from the beginning and I want to thank them so much for that!
