We had the good fortune of connecting with Teresa Rosser and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Teresa, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am originally from Rossville, TN. That is a rural area outside of Memphis, TN. I knew I wanted to become a nurse and take care of others since I was 12 years old. At that age, my father was a heart transplant recipient and I made myself a promise that I would become a nurse to care for him. Unfortunately, my father died before I got accepted into Nursing School. I was so fascinated with the care that the nurse gave to my father. My focus shifted to caring for others with the same compassion, empathy, and love that I showed to my father. I incorporated his legacy into the care that I provide to my patients and clients which makes my job very gratifying. My medical background includes Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Outpatient Surgery, and Hematology/Oncology.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Thrive Wellness & Hydration Lounge is a concierge IV hydration service. It is owned and operated by myself and a registered nurse. I’ve always wanted to support, educate, and care for my community. Thrive provides IV hydration for clients seeking to lose weight, recover from working out in the gym, need hydration after a night of fun and drinking, or seek recovery from dehydration. The one thing that sets my business apart from others is transparency and accountability. I am very transparent with my clients about my health/wellness. I discuss my healthcare regimen with them and I am very transparent about how difficult getting in shape and remaining healthy can be. I want my clients to know I can relate with them and we can hold each other accountable. My business is new and upcoming. I have faced a few growing pains, but I always overcome them by telling myself that any “L” that I take is a lesson versus a loss. It truly brings me joy when clients tell me about their experiences and results after they get IV drips. If there was anything I would want the world to know about my story and my business, it would be that I am no stranger to sacrifice and hard work and that my goal is for anyone that I come in contact with to be able to see how passionate I am about caring for others and their wellbeing.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would likely travel to the North Georgia Mountains to a winery for a spa day and wine tasting. Ponce City Market to check out their quaint bookstore and grab a bite to eat while overlooking the city.
Other options would be to High Museum of Art,
City Winery for a nice show/concert.
Lucian Books & Wine for a quiet chill spot.
Lake Chatuge for a day out on the lake
One of the many great Brunch spots in Atlanta
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize my son Cameron. He’s been my motivator and biggest supporter. He has always been the driving force behind my success and I am very proud of the man he has become. As a child, he started saying “Mom, if anyone can do this, it is you”. I am constantly reminded that my hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. He was the driving force behind my successful nursing career. He also motivated me to step out on faith with Thrive Wellness & Hydration Lounge. He encourages me to follow my dreams and reminds me daily that I deserve all of the blessings and positive life experiences that I’ve encountered thus far and will encounter.
