We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Sho and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make is cutting off certain friends. One thing I’ve learned since pursuing entertainment, you cannot take everyone to the top with you. Everyone cannot go. The people you have known for 15, 25+ years, they all cannot go.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My name is ChristopherSho and I am a comedian based in Atlanta Georgia. I have been doing comedy now for 5 years. About 3 years ago, I almost called it quits. I went to prison about a year and half and it slowed me down to the point of me wanting to give up. It was definitely not easy. Then I saw the film “Dolemite is my Name” and it set a brand new fire inside of me. My style of comedy is about family and all the dirty laundry that comes with it. I have hosted for comedians such as Kiana Dancy, Desi Alexander, and Pierre. I have featured for comedians such as Affion Crockett, Michael Colyar, Donnell Rollins, Steve Brown, Tony Roberts, Tommy Davidson, Melanie Camacho, Capone, Desi Alexander, Preacher Lawson, Reginald Ballard, Henry Welch, and John Hinton just to name a few. I have performed all over the country, Brooklyn House of comedy in New York, The Comedy House in South Carolina, Stardome in Alabama, Punchline comedy club in Atlanta, Georgia, Atlanta Comedy Theater in Norcross, Georgia, Flappers in Burbank, California, and Tommy T’s in Oakland, California just to name a few.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was to come in to town, I would definitely have to take him to my favorite strip club, Stroker’s. The vibe and environment there is so Chillaxing. However since I am an up-and-coming comedian we would probably be hitting an open mic every night, unless I have a booked sho already.
