Meet Alicia Long | Laura’s Biggest Cheerleader!

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Long and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alicia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I decided to start I Am My Sisters Bra Foundation, Inc. because I wanted to keep my sisters legacy alive and help others fighting breast cancer.

What should our readers know about your business?
I fundraised money for another organization for many years and when COVID hit the world, the local chapters closed down. I knew there was still a need in this area for those fighting breast cancer and I decided to give birth to I Am My Sisters Bra officially. Being personally affected by breast cancer fuels my passion for others fighting cancer. My sister was like one of my mothers, she encouraged me even in the midst of me being silly me. There were (are) a lot of naysayers, those you think that will support, really don’t. It’s important to remember the mission, my reasons why and keep going. That’s what Laura did in the midst of her cancer battle.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to recognize my other sisters Janice, MaDonna, Sammie, And Marilyn. It’s because of them the person that you see today!
