We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeannette Roberes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeannette, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Success is subjective. Therefore, it’s defined by one’s self and mostly measured by material gain. I define success by impact. The habits that have supported my success are pacing and connecting. Pacing because you have to acknowledge your circumstances and respect your timeline. Running full speed may not be an option but neither is quitting the race. Connecting because every single person you meet knows something and someone you don’t. With that said, you have to leverage your network as you build and grow.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
In 2015 I started Bearly Articulating to support neurodiverse individuals in a tutoring capacity which led to creating workplace accommodations for neurodiverse individuals. I soon found myself consulting with companies like Microsoft, Google and IBM.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta has been noted as the capital of the South and I couldn’t agree more. You have to visit The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park and Ebenezer Baptist Church so you can pay homage to the historical aspects of the city. Next you’d have to pop into a Food Hall so you can get a varietal fix of Atlanta’s food scene. I’d recommend a walk through centennial park, a drive through a couple HBCU’s and lastly a Hawks or Braves Game to seal the experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are many organizations that have helped me to discover and reignite my purpose. If the people, books and organizations around you aren’t sparking your purpose then you need to remove yourself from those spaces. I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my family and closest friends. They’ve listened to my ideas and helped me to amplify my messages.
