Meet Ryan Irons | Model & Choreographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Irons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryan, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Let it rain is my favorite affirmation/quote. The journey to work for myself was also a journey to finding myself. To no shocker, it would be hard and has been hard but when I let it rain I accept not only the hard times but also the amazing times and the beautiful times and the overcoming times.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m Ryan the non-binary alien model and choreographer! Most models are for the moment but my look is infinite and forever changing with the seasons and styles. I’m not like any other model I dance and skateboard and roller skate. Best part is I’ve never broken a bone either. It definitely isn’t easy and wasn’t easy getting to be a professional I had to deal with a lot of confused people in a town called spokane. where most models if not rich may not be able to make the most things move. I overcame that by just being me and staying not only true to myself but also to others around me. I want the world to know that I pushed through and made moves somewhere that was deemed a bad area. I never let where I was determine where I was gonna be and that’s how I ended up getting jobs in Portland for Nike, Hyatt hotel in seattle, and even doing runway shows in spokane! The apparent dry town for models.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend is a vegan and I’m vegetarian so I’m definitely going anywhere that accommodates that. Atlanta is so full of amazing things to do I would have to start though at piedmont park. It’s a beautiful spot to see local art and I’ve loved that place since I was a kid. I then would have to bring her to the aquarium cause why not it’s amazing! Nightlife we are definitely going to a club and or a concert for a Rock band cause that’s our favorite genre.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The organization I would like to thank for my upbringing in my career would have to be the dance center of Spokane. It is a studio that is so special to my heart because they’re my first studio and first safe space I had in Spokane Washington. not only was my boss like a mother from a different home, but all the teachers there were not only so loving, but they actually cared about me and my first kids that I ever taught not only have they just blown my mind with the way that they suck up every bit of information that I give them like a sponge but also the fearlessness that they possess to be able to try new styles that I brought to them that aren’t really seen in the PNW. They’ll think that I was teaching at the studio but really I was learning how to be this new teacher and this new choreographer.
