We had the good fortune of connecting with Brice Jenkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brice, what do you attribute your success to?
The biggest factor of my success would have to be staying dedicated, committed, and intentional in the process. I pride myself on being dedicated and committed to every player that I work with on a day to day basis. Intentionality would be the key factor that drives success within my brand. Throughout the journey of developing my brand I’ve encountered numerous ups and downs which has taught me to be intentional in valuing the process and not the results.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In my field of work I provide Basketball Player Development Services to Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College Basketball Players Worldwide. What sets my brand apart is that we value the development of each client we train. We measure the development and the results of each athlete. Every component of our services supports the advancement of basketball players and their careers. Our sole focus of training is geared towards improving fundamental flaws as well as helping our players understand the game of basketball both physically and mentally through basketball drills and instruction.

Being a player development coach has its challenges, The biggest barrier of today is trying to get players to understand the importance/value of development and that results takes time. One way I’ve overcome this is by giving them goals to accomplish during the training process.

I’ve learned many lessons in business but the most valuable one would be learning to be persistent and consistent. When you are running a business this is very important when you are trying to establish an identity for your brand .You want your customers or consumers to enjoy the experience and be apart of a solid foundation so constantly providing and being a good service is essential.

I would like the world to know that I have 15 years of experience in the basketball sector. My innovative and creative style of teaching provides athletes with the proper technique, tactical understanding, and creative confidence needed to develop as basketball players. My ability to connect with athletes at a mentorship level has played an essential role during my career as a basketball player development coach. I can easily see the areas in which a player can improve and can quickly and effectively help clients reach their goals on and off the court. My greatest passion is helping to develop a love for the game in a positive and supportive way through creative training techniques and ability to demonstrate and break down all technical skills.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to recognize and dedicate my Shoutout Series to an individual by the name of Tyrell Ware. Tyrell has been a major inspiration and mentor in my life. He has inspired me to pursue my role as a player development coach because he was once my basketball trainer and has given me so much advice on how to navigate in. this field.
