We had the good fortune of connecting with Nasa Bawa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nasa, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My business found me. When my gifts began to manifest I was afraid of what I was experiencing, then I spent years looking for teachers, reading books, and overdosing on YouTube videos trying to learn how to enhance my gifts in a safe way.
Then I spent years trying to figure out who to help and how I would help them. This caused me to spend thousands of dollars on YouTube courses, certifications, Instagram courses, and so much more! One of the key tenants I teach my phase 3 clients is to monetize your magic.
So I use my journey as a guide to help others. I help Healers, Empaths, and Intuitives discover their gifts, expand their abilities, and then monetize their magic so they can help others. I am here to build an army so I take that very seriously.
My program is three-prong, first I nurture my clients making them feel safe to accept their uniqueness, then I help them learn how to use those abilities, and if they want to help others, I show them how to put the infrastructure behind monetizing their own magic.
I like to think I’m a one-stop shop for anyone that is called to guide others through the spiritual awakening process.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Spiritual Life Coach and my super client is the person that has emerging spiritual gifts that they want to nurture, enhance, and then use to help others. This has not been an easy journey at all. The Spiritual awakening process is difficult. When I first started I bought into a lot of concepts born of toxic positivity. I thought that becoming less religious on more spiritual would be an accelerated way for me to be happy and fulfilled. Most healers use toxic positivity and paint a very rosy picture of the spiritual awakening process. But the truth is that awakening spiritually is scary, it is confronting, and physically painful. This is why many leave spirituality and then go back to religion. There is blissful ignorance believing that something outside of you is creating your experience.
My favorite quote is by Carl Jung. “There’s no coming to consciousness without pain.” “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” “Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you.” “People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls.
Taking the red pill of awakening is to face all parts of yourself even the parts that some view as dark or ugly. It is painful to sit with yourself, to realize you have unconsciously created a life you don’t desire, and then it is even more challenging to go through the steps to reprogram your DNA code so that you can begin to create the life that will make you comfortable on this planet.
Your body literally aches as you change it and mold it so you can live a new reality. It’s equivalent to gestating in the womb, going through the birthing process, growing up, and then dying over and over again until you emerge fully as the soul that you were meant to be. You are literally reincarnating over and over again within your current body without the aid of physical death.
This is why I have created the programs that I have created. People do not have to go through this process alone. And it is extremely helpful to have someone that understands this process and can guide you. My clients usually come to me already having some type of spiritual experience, I make them feel safe to know that what they are going through is normal, then I work with them to enhance their gifts whatever they are. Many of my clients go on to use their gifts to help others, so for those people, I help them set up the infrastructure to get their business started. This process can take anywhere from 6 months to a year depending on where the healer is in their journey. I am building an army of Healers, Intuitives, and Empaths that can spread like a holy virus to help people to awaken all over this planet.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The best place to start is my home which I call The OgbeSe Ritual and Healing house. We would start with two days of connecting with the higher self and guides. We would then go to Sweetwater Creek State Park and hike down to the river and connect with nature and the water. Next, we would go to Little 5 Points and I’d take them to The Honey Pot Energy and Art Center to stock up on the main tools that every beginner healer should have.
I love supporting the street vendors down at Little 5 points and then we would go to Sevananda Natural Foods Market and grab some lunch. We would have to go lay in a salt float at FLO2O spa!
I’d then go to East Atlanta Village to The Honey Pop Atlanta Healer’s Village and take a class. There are many healers and guides that have events at the location.
Ponce City Market is one of my favorite spaces. I love to walk the beltline down to Piedmont Park and sit at the water there.
We would have to go back in the evening and go to my favorite vegan spot, Bar Vegan. I love their peach cobbler and the jerk tacos.
And you can’t leave without experiencing the Drive-IN. There is nothing like watching a movie and eating outside under the stars.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out to three people that fuel me through my journey at this time.
Lana Moon, founder of The Honey Pot Energy & Art Center here in Atlanta. She is a fellow Spiritualpreneur that has helped me tremendously in business and in my personal journey. We bounce ideas off one another, support each other through business ebbs and flows, and we create opportunities for other Spiritualpreneurs.
I have to give respect and adoration to my spiritual mentors Baba Odushola Osanyin and Yeye Luisah Teish.
Baba teaches me the ways of Odu in Ifa and is one of the co-hosts along with Soul Scientist Angela Mattox on our YouTube podcast Wednesdays with Odu. Finally, Yeye Luisah Teish is my spiritual mentor that works with me on the traditions and rituals within the IFA tradition.
These are the people in my life that mentor me, teach me, and support me through my soul’s journey. I am very grateful.
