We had the good fortune of connecting with Camron Sheppard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Camron, what do you want your legacy to be?
I feel like this is a very important question, and it hits two key points that I love to talk about. I really enjoy entrepreneurship and fashion. Fashion is something that has always caught my eye, and I’ve been interested in from early on. When I first began in the fashion industry simply as a buyer I recognized price with quality, and for my family, it was hard to achieve that. So, I want to be remembered as an entrepreneur who is able to help as many people as I can to achieve what they want. Good quality with good prices. I want those kids who dream of having nice clothes to be able to be to afford that, Chill9. I want to have multiple businesses in various fields to be built from the same principles.

What should our readers know about your business?
Chill9 Clothing is my clothing line I’ve been building for 6+ years. I started the brand when I was 15 with $38 and something like 4 trucker hats. I sold them for $20 at school the next day and now we are here. Obviously, it wasn’t that easy as I was seriously just a kid. I was a student athlete who had to have a part time job to pay the bills, so you could say my focus wasn’t there. As I graduated high school, I was prepping to be a college student athlete. After bouncing around schools i decided to stop track, drop out, stop Chill9, and become a personal trainer. After a year of that I started Chill9 back and 3 months later, Covid. As all businesses did, I overcame adjusted and adapted. I still to this day have a shirt you can buy for $10, just as great of quality as my $30 tee. I would like everyone to know that one day, Chill9 will be in your wardrobe!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would tell anyone who visiting Atl they have to stop by The Trap House Museum. The Atl music scene is all right there, 2Chainz did his thing with it. Then I would have to stop by and get some pizza from Emmy Squared. Best Pizza I’ve had hands down! There’s almost everything to do there, I can’t just pick one place for the night life just make sure you don’t miss it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
100% my mom. She was a single parent for the first 7 years of my life, without her there isn’t a me. My Girlfriend and my daughter, they are huge factors to my success and keep me going every day .
Last but not least my late grandmother, Sandra Gendreau. She taught me the beauty of life and love, to always spread the light.
