We had the good fortune of connecting with Hollie Townsend and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hollie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Life is all about Risk. ! When you decide to leave your house it a risk. So you shouldn’t never be scared of No’s . It’s just a word, a symbol . Words only hurt if you let them. So taking a risk is like crossing the street look both ways and cross . It’s ok.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the district sales manager for Eleven86 artesian water in Houston. I have made Eleven86 water well known name in Houston. Eleven86 water is now in the top restaurants and bars in Houston. Eleven86 water is also in the top brick and mortar locations. Covid change my life I had to turn a bad situation into a great investment. I literally just sent email to Eleven86 and made a connection with the CEO of Eleven86 Mr Marquis Forge. I told him I could help him and his business . With the many contacts I have in Houston. And well the rest is history. I have always been a leader. From moving from Houston to Atlanta and being the youngest assistant deli manager at Kroger . Then changing careers and began working in law enforcement for Fulton county. With those changes I have learn in life sometimes you don’t get a second chance . So if you see something you want in life you better take it !! Living in Houston I have work for the Houston Rockets in security and Nordstorm has a counter manager, Working for high demand clients and celebrities, you have to learn how to adapt . So that could be different personalities, wants, and expectations . And it your job to make miracles happen with no wand. Working for Eleven86 water has allowed me to start my on Company Connecting The Dots It’s a coaching / concierge service. Everyone is always asking me how did I get the water in the top places in Houston? And how can they be apart in network circle? Or how I can get them in the top places for their birthdays . Are when they are coming to Houston. How they get the VIP treatments in Houston. So Connecting The Dots was born. There are some things I have learned in my life. But my father taught me a life lesson. Thai I stand by Today . It has helped me in my life and business.” You ONLY HAVE TWO THINGS IN LIFE!! YOUR NAME AND YOUR WORD! “ I never promise anything I can’t bring to table. And if I say I’m going to do it it’s already DONE! My other motto is “Known what you are working with and deal with it accordingly.” My friend Bishop gave me that Ten years ago!! It’s takes a lot of stress off of you if you walk that way in life . It’s so simple in business it’s only YES or NO! Just Ask!!! That’s it .
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh that’s a hard one . I have been bless!! To have so many “GOOD” people in my life . My parents where great a role model coming from humble beginning and both becoming educators and leaders in the H.I.S.D community. My dear friend Kelsey Maynor co-owner of Atlanta breakfast club and CEO of Courtside basketball truck and international seller Author . He’s has taught me that No’s are just circumstances and you can change them to your Yes’s . My friends/ Sisters. Joimel Dunigan of Dranny’s Dream spa in Houston and Kimberly Williams stylists to elite and fashion designer of La Femme . Their entrepreneur spirit has push me to start my own concierge/consulting business Connecting the Dots LLC. Their encouragement and support has allowed me to become a great asset in Houston. There faith in God and me has covered me in so many ways. When I call them or invite them to any of my events that I have THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE TO SUPPORT. It’s what Joel Osteen said in a sermon “If you want to fly with eagles you can’t hang with pigeons” . My friends are Eagles!!! I’m hanging with them!! Like my dear friend Chris Hudson CEO of Life’s Journeys clothing line in Atlanta. He has a saying on one of his shirts “God I’m trying”! And for me That speaks VOLUMES!! Keep trying, keep pushing and you will fly high like a Eagle.
