Meet Micahel Murphy | Gospel Rapper/ Minister

We had the good fortune of connecting with Micahel Murphy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Micahel, what are you inspired by?
Life and all its lessons insprie me. When you are a student of Life and everything that involves the development of your purpose and personal Journey, you begin to become creative in how you deliver some of those experiences to help someone elses journey.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I ‘am a Gospel rap artist and what’s sets me apart is the way I put the word of GOD in a form of reality so that all people from any walk of life and or nation can understand. I’ am where I am today because I never stopped rapping. No matter what stage of life I was in, I was always led to just put it on paper so that someone else can see how I made it through and where I drew my strength from. I did a lot of praying and crying. I was praying for strength and then crying to release the pain so that I can move on and complete the mission that was before me. Also, I just lived life I ride motorcycles so I did a lot riding, I fish, I played basketball by myself just to release the stress and maintain my sanity. There are so many lessons I have learned along the way and the main lesson was never take anyone initial personality for face value. There are many people looking to take advantage of your gifts, ideas, purpose and you’re calling. You have to be very mindful of the people that attach themselves to you for their greedy gain and your demise. DemonHeadBussa Ministries is about breaking generational curses and shedding light on the simplicity of the gospel and the life of a man who has had challenges and has overcame them with my relationship and the power of GOD.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
i live in Augusta Now but iam actualluy from New jersey so if i were there it would be to Atlantic city, then for food i like Benny Hondas, or take them to some diners up north its a lot of great diners, seaside heights New Jesery, philly south street on a friday night. i mean it really all depends on the friend and what they like to do.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My teachers and staff at my high schoool T.W. Josey in augusta G.A. A guy named Rashaun, a childhood friend he kinda made me freestyle with the best of the best in trenton at Trenton Central High School new jersey at the lunch room table. Redmouth was a friend here in Augusta GA. he always told me i had the gift or rapping it wasnt just me rapping that GOD gave it to me in a unique way to say very deep things and make it so simple and plain. And all the people who heard my music and told me to keep grinding.
