We had the good fortune of connecting with Britton Amanda and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Britton, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor to me behind my success and the success of my brand is honestly putting God first. I believe that a daily prayer life if essential and entrepreneurship. It keeps me humble , grounded & at peace. Also dedication and hard work play a huge factor, in order to be an entrepreneur you have to be extremely dedicated, Putting your all into your work …. There are several months where I literally getting no days off. Even when I’m off I’m not off because there’s always work to do

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a entrepreneur/cosmetologists. I began doing lash extensions in 2017, prior to was doing cluster Lash extensions since 2011. I now offer the following services lash extensions, waxing , body contouring, brow microshading , microlink hair extensions, & facials. My main service is lash extensions, I truly love what I do. I got in the lash extension game through another Lash Boss in my city , she introduced me to them . I took a class in Charlotte NC in 2017 , 2020 I started esthetician school & then in 2021 I graduated from cosmetology school .

When I first started doing lash extension I cannot say that it was easy it was actually very challenging and it is something that requires lots of practice and work. I have also learned the different lash artist do things different ways. I overcame the challenges of lashing by continuously practicing and also taking several lash courses In my free time to learn different techniques and styles.

What I have learned along the way is that you cannot focus on where someone else is at with their business but you have to go at your own pace. I don’t think that you should get caught up in how many people are offering the same services I don’t think that there’s any competition I truly believe that as women in the beauty industry we should come together and truly boss up in this field.

I want the world to know & most importantly little girls to know is that you don’t have to go to school for the rest of your life to make wealth. You can do whatever you put your mind to. the beauty industry is a multi billion dollar industry that is not going anywhere anytime soon or and it is definitely only growing more daily.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was coming to visit the area I would definitely take her to “The Star” that is something that represents the city Roanoke, Virginia and it is a great sight seeing spot & great for photo opportunities.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area is Kabuki , it is hibachi style where they cook right in front of you so that would definitely be on the itinerary.

Possibly a winery to relax & have some girl time .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like the dedicate this shoutout interview to my sons. They have so much impact on my daily hustle. So many people often ask me how do I keep going and what keeps me inspired to do it every day and I literally think about it like if I don’t work my kids don’t eat, if I don’t work hard my kids can’t have what they deserve, I have been in situations as a child where we had faced some hardship and then one of the hardest things is having something taken from you like your home , your car , etc. I work hard daily to make sure that doesn’t happen. I don’t want to repeat the same cycles that I’ve been in before nor do I want to struggle ever again . I know what it’s like to be broke , I know what it’s like to have things cut off , but I won’t let them see that . I’m building generational wealth , I’m just getting started.
