We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique McFadden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monique, what principle do you value most?
Knowing the value of worth.

Knowing and embracing worth opens the door to success. If you don’t respect your worth, neither will anyone else. There’s a saying that “if you’re a giver, know your limits because takers don’t have any.”

It’s okay to be a giver. In fact, there’s a blessing in it. But use wisdom and discernment. Sometimes the more freely you give to some, the less you receive in return. Some believe that as long as you’re giving, there will never be a cost involved, a price to potentially pay or a value to acknowledge. What happens when you stop giving the takers? When the cost of value is finally added and worth was discovered? You reneged on your giving, so the takers then reneged on you. Know your worth. Raise your value. Except the lesson for what it is (stop ignoring it) and Let go to grow. Your answers are more evident than you’re willing to accept.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a full-time “All-Purpose” caterer. I provide a wide range of services and opportunities that help to display my flexibility as it relates to the needs of others. I have many gifts within this one! When I’m not catering, I’m operating as a restaurant. When I’m not operating as a restaurant, I’m bartending and so much more. I’m a one-stop shop! What makes me different is the flow of my creativity and my undeniable grit and grind.

My story is a testament of faith and how I have been tried by the fire and still walking in faith believing that what is destined to take place WILL take place and my passion and creativity will meet and continue to open doors. It was not easy at all. Some days are honestly better than others, but because I do what I love and love what I do, I remain persistent. The only way to see what’s on the other side is to keep going. That’s how I overcome any challenge, I simple keep going. If something doesn’t work, remember trial and error is the only way to figure out what does. It’s never a fail, but a “First Attempt In Learning.”

I want the world to know that I’m one of a kind. The work speaks for itself. The quality. Professionalism. Creativity. Flavorz. Everything. You can feel, see and taste the passion.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Although Atlanta is not my home, it’s definitely one of my favorite quick getaways (minus the traffic – lol). If a friend came and we vibe in Atlanta all weekend, if only anyone could break me out of the habit of ALWAYS going to The Original Pancake House in Cheshire Square, then we’ll be alright because I cannot stay away from there for breakfast! Some of my other favorite places to eat at are: Pappadeaux & Bahama Breeze. I’m simple and not hard to please. As far as hanging out, just give me a nice hotel with a banging bar and maybe a rooftop! Again, I’m simple! LOL

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Awh man…Everyone might not believe as I do and I respect that, but God is the author and finisher of my faith, so first and foremost, that’s where it’s at…THEN….I have to say my husband and kids! My husband has been the true definition of a “backbone.” He refused to let me give up and pushed me when I refused to push myself. Alongside him, our kids have played a major role by constantly making me aware of just how proud of me they always are. They give me words of affirmation which makes me go harder.
