We had the good fortune of connecting with Tery Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tery, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“No matter what or who you love, ALWAYS LOVE YOU FIRST”

This quote means a lot to me. It took a long time to understand what loving me felt like. By not having someone to look up to when I was younger, I didn’t know that I was the problem at times. I didn’t realize that I was so busy trying to fix things for everyone around me at the time, that I was neglecting myself.

Not fixing what was actually wrong (me). So I took myself for granted for a very long time. I was so into pleasing other people that I lost who I thought I was (hell I didn’t know who I was). But after I met Tee (GF), I learned that the people I thought was helping me were actually hurting me.
I gained a new outlook on life and what it means to truly LOVE YOURSELF. With her help I learned how to treat ME right. So Yeah, “No matter what or who you love, ALWAYS LOVE YOU FIRST”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a creative through and through. I’m (ME) Tery Wilson, owner of IntrygueGraphics Media always, lol. Take me as I am. You know there are many women who look like me in this industry, but we don’t get recognized as often as we should. I know how superficial this world can be and I’m here to continue to set standards that change that. My ultimate goal is to have those same doors that were once closed to women like me, FULLY OPENED, while creating my own doors for the LGBT+ community. We as humans face many obstacles and bumps in the road as a part of life. But as long as you don’t allow those hiccups to take control of you and your vision you will make it. This is not an easy road to travel, but I vowed not to let the clouds from my past change the sun that shines on me today and my future.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I’m from Atlanta (GRADY BABY) and i moved around alot. As a teenager I was raised in South Bronx, NY and Sacramento, Ca before i made my way back to Atlanta. With that being said, Atlanta is my home and there are way too many places to go here to just pick one or two a day. From brunch at The Beverly or Fins & Feathers. Or even get some down home soul food from Big Daddys. Try Dave’s Cheesesteaks or Slutty Vegan. Maybe stopping by Arnika Dawkins Art Gallery or ZuCot Gallery. I mean there is SO MUCH TO DO HERE. Might even go to the Georgia Aquarium. Just know they will have a great time and will be tired because this too is a city that NEVER SLEEPS. Just know that they would have an AMAZING time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My future wife Tee. This woman came into my life when I had no clear direction. I was being pulled all over the place coming out of a deep depression. Tee stood beside me through the rest of my healing journey and let me tell you IT WAS BAD. I gave hell every now and then but that was only because I wasn’t loving myself or understanding life.

She showed me and is continuing to show me what real love is. But she stayed and helped me work through it and I cant thank my Beautiful enough. She came in and changed how I view life as a whole. She is a BOSS in her own right. As the owner of Tee’Scapes, LLC, she is also a Multi-Award Winner and just a all around GREAT HUMAN. Ah how I love her.
