We had the good fortune of connecting with Ishii King and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ishii, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
I made the decision that when it comes down to it, life is short and nothing is quite that serious, so I should just go for every opportunity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a model and actor, my art is created with other people 99% of the time. One of the things I’m most proud of is developing the range to work with and adapt to a wide variety of personalities and artistic styles while staying true to myself. I consider this to be one of the reasons for my success thus far.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to all the models, makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers, client reps, and everyone on set at my very first photoshoot. I didn’t plan to go down this path, but the experience I had that day with the people I was around convinced me that this was a much more enjoyable career option than my corporate job.
