We had the good fortune of connecting with Chauntia Booker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chauntia, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is becoming aware of the importance of Self Care. As a parent, Travel Nurse, and Brand Owner, Self Care must be a priority. Therefore, I’ve created The RY Lifestyle brand for Healthcare Professionals. When your life is centered around caring for others, you can easily neglect your own Holistic needs. The RY Lifestyle mission Emphasizes caring for your entire being while striving towards Self Actualization. RY medical and fitness apparel will be available winter 2022 and more

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a Nurse of 10 years I’ve learned that it’s not about managing symptoms of my patients. It’s about what they are thinking. Teaching patients to take their power back by mediating on their recovery. Holistic Health and Wellness is key to living a quality life. Therefore, I’ve created Remember You LLC. The RY brand focuses on an individual self care and wellness routine. Teaching them to live a quality life. I also believe in sending the ladder back down. So, I’ve created RY University that assist individuals in learning skills to jump start their career in healthcare. I would also like to highlight in 2014 I founded Blessed, brilliant and beautiful INC. This is a girls program and the mission is to create a culture of creators. Teaching leadership skills and performing arts. I’ve faced many challenges on my journey. I am always trying to balance career, business and most importantly being a mother. This is something I am always working at daily. Attached before is a small bio

As a child, Chauntia Booker knew she wanted to work in the medical field. She always had a love and passion to help people. Although her life presented some adversities, she overcame them and now pursues her dreams and purpose. Booker is a native of Pensacola, Florida. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 2003, where she attended their Health Academy and a member of the Health Occupation Students of America.
She went on to attend Florida A&M University in 2003 to major in Nursing. She was also active cheerleader there. However, she became pregnant and had to dropout from college to support her daughter coming into the world. “At first, I thought my whole world had ended and I felt devastated, not because of my daughter, but because I would not be able to pursue my dreams,” says Booker. Once she had her daughter, she said it was one of the best days of her life and the struggle was worth it all.
In 2005, Booker returned to college attending Pensacola State College determined to finish her Nursing degree. She was forced to break from school again when she found out she was expecting her second child in 2008. After she had her second daughter, Booker did not allow what happened in her life or decisions she made to distract her from her goals. She was even more focused and determined to achieve them. In May 2010, Booker was accepted into the Nursing Program at Pensacola State College. Booker says, “It was one of the best decisions I made to return to school, but it was definitely a tough one.” Booker graduated in May 2012 with her Associate of Science in Nursing degree. A few months later, she passed her state boards to become a Registered Nurse on July 13, 2012.
Booker also has a heart for other young girls and wanted to create a positive creative outlet for them. In May 2014, she founded, Triple B Girls Mentor and Dance Program. Triple B stands for Blessed, Brilliant and Beautiful. Booker says, “Triple B is more than just a dance program, but it focuses on life skills, Holistic Health and Goal setting!”
During her nursing career, Booker continued to gain expertise in Neonatal Intensive Care, Subacute Care, and Nursing Administration as a Unit manager and Assistant Director of Nursing. She also earned her certification as a Trainer for Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) classes in 2016. Then, in 2017, she began her journey to pursue majoring in Integrative Medicine. She also worked as a Hospice Case Manager at Covenant Care in Pensacola, Florida. In 2018, Booker decided to return to bedside nursing working as a nurse at Baptist Hospital in their Neuroscience department and then at West Florida Hospital in their Inpatient Rehabilitation department. The same year, Booker received her Bachelor in Holistic Health Sciences degree from Quantum University.
Booker has always had a passion for educating herself to ensure she is equipped to serve those she wants to help. In 2019, she founded Sophia’s Health Academy. “I created Sophia’s Health Academy to send the ladder back down and build a bridge for people interested in the medical field,” says Booker.
Booker earned certifications as a CPR Instructor in November 2019 through American Heart Association and as a Certified Phlebotomy Instructor through National Phlebotomy Association in January 2020. Currently, she is seeking her Doctorate in Nursing at Purdue University as well as she is graduate student at Quantum University majoring In Integrative Medicine.
Booker is also the mother of two beautiful daughters, Raniya, and Rayna. She hopes the example she sets before them now will leave a legacy for them and others to follow.
