Meet Ro Akin | Artist Producer Creative Dir & Fashion Guru

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ro Akin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ro, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Life is about finding balance. Time is more valuable then money. There is nothing like a peace of mind. At the end of the day, what are you working for? One just has to prioritize. I love what I do but it’s not always about the money. What is most important to me is the time I spend with my baby boy. These are the things learned after my son was born. A lot of people don’t realize this until it’s too late.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Ro Akin whose real name is Rapheal Akinyemi started his music career as a member of the Outsyders, a songwriting and production crew that spawned Britney Spears’ # 1 Hit “Womanizer.” In this era of music it’s time for a new leader that’s natural in performance, clear in artistry with a story to tell. Now emerges this man with an approach that is clearly designed beyond the normal expectations. Ro Akin is a rapper, producer and writer with a deep rooted culture
from Nigerian background, residing in Atlanta, Georgia where he bridges connections through lyrical experiences. He has an international appeal that is visible from his commanding voice, to physical height, towering at 6’4. His plan to command and tower over the industry with an acclaim that is respected and notable. Currently using his talents to share his life story. Humble in his laid back approach and persona, providing an introspective look on his initial project, titled “Whatever Happens, Happens” “Mixed Feelings” & “Lowkey Famous” provides aspects of true work-ethic considered rare in this business. Now it’s time for Ro Akin to step on the scene.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
