We had the good fortune of connecting with Dreeck Breon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dreeck, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose an artistic and creative career because I have always been great at those two things from an early age. If I could see it in my head I could do it. It came natural to me. I learned later it was a gift, so what better way to use and make a living from that.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud of the body of work I’ve created. My aesthetic is beauty… ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL. It was easy to use my gifts but it was hard understanding how to use them. I got where I am today, by trusting my instincts and being able to visuals things and bring them to life. I have always wanted to be a light to people I came across and leave a lasting impression in a good way. I’ve learned to step out of faith, work hard, be consistent, and know who you are and what you stand for.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend and I would probably be on an island somewhere, relaxing, enjoying nature and luxury. Blue waters and crystal beaches. Water Bungalows and personal butlers. Exotic foods and drinks endlessly.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out The Alabama State University Elite Models we’re I was the Coordinator/Director for many years. The University and organization grew me up personally, creatively, and professionally. If it wasn’t for Elite I wouldn’t be where I am today. I was able to go in the lab and work things out, bring it back and they would be so ready to help me bring things to life all while molding then to become some of the most outstanding, well rounded, talented, young adults ever.
