We had the good fortune of connecting with Chasity Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chasity, what role has risk played in your life or career?
My whole career has been built on taking risk . I’ve rebuilt my clientele multiple times since I was 16 . I took the risk of leaving my town with nothing ans built my career from the ground . I took the last of what I had many times to make things happen for my business , even If I wasn’t sure !! Being an entrepreneur is a risky business in itself ! I’m thankful for the confidence to just do it !

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started as a hairstylist in Decatur Georgia. I moved to Gwinnett 7 years ago and built my career , im now a master cosmetologist, makeup artist, and salon owner. This has been a wild ride but I would trade it for anything . There were times that my depression almost caused me to sabotage my own career but I had to fight through and rebuild even in times I didn’t think I could or wanted to. God is good , I’m grieving and healing over the loss of my mom but with that I have become a better business woman and person . I’m thankful

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok so we definitely take them to Atlanta , they have so many fabulous lounges and restaurants . Then we would plan a picnic to the water fall in Roswell or piedmont park . Then we would have to go to Atleast one strip to have the ATLANTA experience.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my strong will and succeed to my late mother Cheryl Alexander. She’s the one that told Me since the age of 9

That I would be a well known successful hairstylist. She made me my first business cards at 13 and she told me

I was meant to go to the top hair school . That’s exactly what I did !!! I know she’s proud of me , I’m doing Everything we dreamed about .
